    Remind us of what boat and engine power. Is generators working fine …how many hours ?

      1991 Marine Trader. 135 Ford Lehman single diesel engine close to 3000 hours. No generator on board. 13Kw 48v battery. 525w solar array.

    Good to see how the costs are dependent on where you are and what your doing. The crossing was uneventful thank goodness. Now enjoy that southern climate. And enjoy the trip back to Canada.

    What boat and what engine.. the fuel mileage is impressive!

      @brianwebster7356 It is a 1991 Marine Trader 34 feet. Engine is Lehman 135, single. It's the same engine we saw in our industrial forklifts when we were building log homes in BC. They can take a beating and they are fuel efficente. We do see a drop in our fuel efficiency when we push the speed, but Chris is pretty pleased by how we are doing. We have had the engine doing 10 miles per hour (not knots/hr) for one day coming down the Mississippi, but our happy spot is 1600 -1700 rpm which is around 6.5-7 knots per hour.(Sandra)
