    When he’s not busy racing through the streets of Payne County or delving into the sonic history of rock-music greats, Colt Westbrook is known to fiddle with a few pedals here and there. He is the founder of Walrus Audio, after all. Colt stopped by Sweetwater to chop up some riffs with Sweetwater’s Don Carr, taking us through his personal pedal powerhouse. We had to know: “What do you play when you run a cutting-edge pedal FX company?” Tune in to find out!

    You can see that it's quite different, because not only is the pedal board well-filled and neatly arranged, but it's also spotless. Everything is tidy and well-organized, with proper power supply. You don't come across that every day with musicians

    Oh man. I love Walrus Audio stuff. Their modulation, time and reverb effects are so good. I have a Slötvå hopefully being delivered this week. If you guys ever do an ARP-87 V2 with a rate knob and presets, I'll be first in line to order it.

      @@Brianbo4 Oh yeah! I have a whole channel based on my AC30 and it's a TOTAL myth that Vox amps can't handle pedals! The Fatbee from Beetronics and the Archer and Touch from J Rockett ALSO rock with a Vox!

    I sold my arp 87 when I upgraded my power supply so I could “upgrade” to an el cap. I like the el cap, but it doesn’t fill the void with the arp. Just something about that pedal that had had some good mojo. I need to get my hands on another one.. love my Julianna !

    The one thing that all pedalboard builder miss is that a growing number of stereo pedals needs more stereo switching. The other thing is the size of pedal boards, most stereo pedal are wider, needing a bigger pedalboard. I have 6 stereo padals! Who's fixing that problem??

    Welp, I guess I’m in good company, since I use my Julianna in the same way that the owner does, i.e., stereo, D-C-V all the way CCW to D. Triangle mode? Love the spread in my IEM’s, like Colton said he does.
    Hey Colt, my Julianna moves my stereo image quite a bit to the Dry side, presumably due to the Haas effect. But I don’t really hear yours doing that in this video, through headphones. Does it IRL?
    Also, mine is def noisier than yours. Is that normal? 😬

    back in 2017 I had a pedal die after only two months, I called walrus and Colt answered. he said oh dang you got two months out of it? you're lucky, normally they die after only one month. 😂

    Colt isn't dropping 600 bucks, but recently released an analog delay pedal that costs 600 bucks. :/

    • @barnshart9662
      @barnshart9662 3 месяца назад

      Big difference between releasing a highly complex and feature rich analog delay for $600 vs spending $600 for an old super simple 2 knob pedal that you can get a behringer clone of for $20

    The OG MC 6 AND the Selah Quartz!? The two MOST abandoned MIDI controllers on the market (except, maybe the Liquid Foot). I have a ridiculous collection of MIDI FC devices and (despite my love of Morningstar) the original MC 6 support is nearly nonexistent. The Selah Quartz has actually LOST functionality with newer firmware. Hey, Colt, take it from an older Okie and upgrade (and shrink) your MIDI/switcher set-up to the most current Morningstar kit (MC8 or MC6 mk3 and the ML10X)...I know I JUST bagged Morningstar for the lack of support for the OG MC6, but their support for anything beyond their first releases, easily makes up for it. PS: I bought my Boss Slow Gear at a country music store on the Southside of OKC in the early 90's for $60...I feel you my dude.
