I've gone into the habit of eating Ramen that I get from the Japanese outlet store here in the US. It is a far cry from the delicious food that you guys are enjoying, but it makes me feel a tiny bit like being with you during those delicious feasts. :)

Japanese eggs (and chickens) are different from Western eggs (and chickens). They don't have salmonella bred into them (there are many Western birds born carrying the bacteria), and the birds are generally kept in such a way that, if a bird does have salmonella, it's not communicated to the other birds. You can even find raw or rare chicken "sashimi" in Japan and it's generally safe to eat, unlike pretty much all of the chicken in the Western world.

You two look so handsome in the yukatas! Those are really great designs for both of you. Have you ever heard the quote, "Life is short. Eat dessert first." When you ate dinner, it almost seemed like they were giving you dessert first, but it was a great thing! Everything looked simply perfect...so beautiful and delicious! Even the plates and bowls were gorgeous. Breakfast was amazing, too. I hope you can visit there again one day. Have a great weekend!

What gorgeous, healthy meals! Thank you both for sharing them. In the continental U.S. , it's often all about carbohydrates for breakfast--cereals, pastries, and so on. Fish and vegetables give you such a nutritious, low-fat, high-quality protein start for the day. And the many smaller courses make for more mindful eating and more congenial conversation as you savor each bite. ✿❤

They have higher food quality standards in japan then we do in America also the reason salmonella is a issue in America is because our eggs are not as fresh as we think they are...if you buy your eggs from a grocery store they can be anywhere from a few days to weeks old all ready...salmonella takes about a week to enter the egg "it starts out on the shell" also most american grocery store eggs are mass produced in filthy factories covered in chicken poop thus the risk of salmonella....where as in japan they dont need to produce as many eggs as America does so their eggs come fresh daily from farmers also the chickens are in cleaner housing and the eggs are kept cleaner. If you buy fresh local eggs from a farmer who keeps his chickes in clean housing your risk of salmonella is much smaller
