I've begun making some special changes to my home! The rug and other Amazon items are here: ***www.amazon.com/shop/rozannepaxmanshome You'll want to stay tuned because I have a lot planned. It should be fun. Thanks so much for being here and supporting me through my journey. You're awesome and amazing and wonderful!
Hi Rozanne! Beautiful and very special changes indeed. I really like the new rug. The bookshelves are so pretty. I grew up with an encyclopedia set as well. We had to work for knowledge back then. 😅Can't wait to see part two! This was great. Thanks for sharing. XO
Thanks so much, Lesa! Yes, we did have to work for knowledge. No Google. I remember my 6th grade teacher warning us not to copy directly out of our encyclopedias because he could tell if we did. Hope you enjoy part 2!
Just a suggestion but behind the couch you need 3 pictures of the same size type and colour going along, horizontally. The piano needs to be more centred i think. Sometimes take a picture and go back the next day.
This makes me want to rearrange something!! I second the 'center the piano' suggestion. The beautiful gold mirror above the piano looks great, and I think you should commit! Looking forward to part two! Hugs, MK 🤗❤️🌵❤️🤗
They are! It's really something that I feel so close to her when I'm playing the piano with those shelves on either side. It almost gives me goosebumps.
I love the rug under your table it warms the room up. The bookcases are gorgeous the way you have them styled on each side of the piano. Thank you so much sweet Rozanne for your beautiful inspiration. I am going to work on my living room and make some changes. 💖🤗💖
Thanks Beth! I do, too. It's the brightest rug I've ever had and it really warms things up. The family room has the same colors in it and I love it. I can't believe what a difference the bookcases make. Have fun with your living room!
Thanks Jordan! I'm having a lot of fun this year and things are turning out so differently. I think my mother's death kind of changed me. I think she'd approve of where I'm taking things. Can't wait for you to see what happens. It's taking me quite a while, so you'll have plenty to look forward to. See you!
Rozanne, love how you have decorated the book cases, great job. I love the rugs, especially the colors, very pretty. Thanks for sharing g and have a great day.
Thanks, Kathy! I am really loving those rugs and they have been a jumping off point for the whole main floor. They took me a different direction, but I love them. See you!
Yes, technically it is a breakfast nook, but I keep calling it a dining room because that's all I have. I think it is a learned behavior because most of my life, that's all my mom had too. But I actually like it better than when we had an official dining room. This is much easier to think about. I've found that putting a rug in there does create a little bit of separation. You ought to try it!
We actually have our dinning room furniture in our living room ( it was too big for the dinning room) and the dining room is a library only thing is it’s odd shape to fit bookshelves in like we want. It’s a work in progress.
It sounds interesting. Having a library is awesome. I can see why you made that choice. I love it that it's a work in progress. That's how I feel about my house, too. See you!!
I absolutely love this video I think it’s been one of my favs I watched it more than once! I have laughed and laughed at your husbands expressions when you were wanting him to move things 😂 I had to show mama and my husband because that’s the reactions I get too lol The shelves look great on the sides of the piano It looks very cozy now Love the picture of the “Gleaners” above the sofa Maybe add some wall candle sconces on either side would look good and add some flameless candles that would add ambiance to the room TFS my friend Loving this! 😊
I'm so glad you like this one, Melissa! I had such fun editing it. The music was just perfect (at least, to me) and I loved showing the realness of the day and our interactions. It really delights me that you picked up on that. Today: Part 2! See you.
So glad to see you redecorating and making things more comfortable for you and the family. However.......the wall with the piano.....please try centering the piano and allow an equal amount of space on each side between the piano and shelf. It looks too clustered and crammed together. Allow the furniture pieces to "breathe".
Hi Shelley! Keep your eye out because I think you'll like what you see in a future video. (wink) It takes me a bit to get there, but I've arrived today. So stay tuned!

Keep an eye out for a future video. (wink) It isn't in part 2 of this series, but it is coming along in the future. See you!
Keep an eye out for a future video. It won't be in part 2, but I think you'll be happy with what you see. (wink) Thanks for the suggestion!
The shelves are absolutely perfect! Seems like your mom is smiling down on you. I like the way you arranged the books.

Love all the old books and think the new arrangement is looking wonderful
Thanks! Now, I need to read them. Seriously. I have some many interesting books in there.
Love the addition of the bookshelves and all the beautiful books❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Kathy!
It’s lovely to have heirlooms around the home Rozanne. Looking forward to Part 2.
It is for sure. I'm enjoy using so much of Mom's stuff and figuring out how I can use it and look like myself instead of her. See you!

Love the new rug under kitchen table ( breakfast nook?) I have been contemplating putting a run in I’m my breakfast nook.

The amateur decorator side of me was ready to pack a bag and come help you! But I will be patient and wait for the next video. @@TowardsASimpleLife
