I like the fact that you think the same things about the episodes. At first, I was really into it (part of s1) but then felt like some storylines weren't always the best. But I really loved Kara's and Alex bond and their scenes. And then Mon-El came and ugh... But Sanvers.... They are doing well with that one. I'm loving their scenes and stories and I can only wait to see what the future holds.
I would be able to tolerate Mon-El if he wasn't the most bog-standard love interest ever. The writers sank Kara and Jimmy's relationship because they felt like they were forcing it, but then they replaced him with the most cookie cutter love interest. We've seen this Kara and Mon-El romance a million times before. I honestly don't know how people ship these two.
I'm totally with you. As much as I want to love Supergirl there's just something... off about it. Like I can't actually get myself to care about what's happening. Normally watching a show you just come to care, but I have to try and force it with this one. I haven't figured out quite why yet either

I find them to be refreshingly genuine and they make me feel like less of a crazy fan girl ... usually I don't do this but I think you should try watching Gotham if you have not already... it's basically the polar opposite of Super-girl. Kara could do SOOO much better, like James for instance, but Lena, even better! The more f/f ships, the better! Maggie needs SOOO much more screen time than that boring guy.
