I always- just somewhere deep inside of me, always hoped that she would've named the baby after Max, I mean, he was the who literally was forcing everyone to save her. 😭
No, it was genuine and I can prove it. Earlier on in the series, max insisted on meeting Dr. Norrington before he found out he was Yog Sogoth because, and I quote, "I need to thank him for helping me with Sammun-Mak" This clearly shows that max is capable of gratitude, and not just out for himself. But the real kicker comes in this very episode itself: Max, still a giant Cthulhu-esque monster, realizes his brain is about to catch fire, and that a nuke is lodged in his chest. When realizing this, he chooses to sacrifice himself by teleporting himself away from the city so the explosion doesn't kill anyone, least of all Sam. Not only that, he remembers Skuun-kape is still with Miss Stinky, and thus, teleports to him to destroy him before he can cause any more havoc to any other planets, destroying Skuun-Kape and safeguarding hisfriends, new york, and possibly even the rest of the universe. So not only was he empathic and kind enough to gladly sacrifice himself to protect all the people he cares about, he was smart enough to take a heinous supervillain down with him.
I love this scene because it shows Max is more than just the personification of Id. He is a complex person with depth.
True on that
- Uuuuuh... who's this guy?
- He's the personnification of Max's Super-ego
- Ah!
- Makes sens.
LOVE IT! XD
It's nice to know how much Max cares about his friends if he's thinking of Sybil more then himself.

Max Lincoln-Pandemik... it's got a bit of a ring to it.
0:55 sybils just like "why did i move to new york back in 2006"
If he hadn't realized it before, this is definitely when Dr. Norrington realized just how insane the life of Sam and Max really is.
"Pennies?"
Am I the only one who want to see what does the baby looks like?
I bet a nickel it's somehow the Geek.
10 years later and I'm still not totally convinced Max wasn't just lying to make the Superego get Sam outta there :///
Would that not still count as a selfless act, as it's in the favor of another and not himself?
