I can’t either!! Last month I read 17 books and had ONE five star. Just one. I was complaining the other day how thrillers have been sucking lately and then Jacqie’s one stars have saved the day! 😂
Razorblade Tears was one of the easiest 5 star reads for me. Absolutely loved it.

I'm so glad you loved Drowning!! It's so underrated. Her other book is also pretty good (has some questionable villainy that a lot of people didn't like though) but I ADORED Drowning. I also cried! At a survival thriller!!!! WHAT.
I’ll definitely be picking up Falling soon! Drowning has a super high rating on Goodreads so I think authors should take that as a sign to write more survival thriller books because I LOVED IT!!!

I want to try Razorblade again - I was not in the right head space when I tried to read it the first time. And yes, I own my books and listen to them too. I sometimes follow along while I listen and other times just get so much joy of moving my bookmark along when I get home from listening all day at work 😄💖

Please make the Stephen King recommendation video! I'm trying so hard to be into his books but the two I read I didn't love. I liked them (Fairy Tale & The Institute) but I didn't fall in love with his writing. His world building though is so good!

Razorblade Tears was so good! Also my game show recommendation is Traitors on Peacock. All seasons are good
The only two five stars I have this year have been novellas, strangely. Hex by Jenni Fagan and The Six Deaths of the Saint by Alix E. Harrow. And I am not sure I could read a whole book if there were to be extended. Both were very powerful, very moving but difficult in terms of content.
You should definitely should read falling! I didn't like that one either because I do not like action books that happen in a small period of time (like a day or so), and I hate reading descriptions of action scenea.
The only Stephen King I liked was the long walk. Misery was OK at 3 stars.
The Long Walk is my least favorite King book 😂 and Misery is my all time favorite hahahahaha it was the first King book I ever read and that’s what hooked me
Oh I love Jacqie's channel too. I am obsessed with the Circle as well. I need to go and catch up on those. I think I have only gotten through the 1st half of this season. I have a question for you. I love The Circle too! Kyle was great! Myles grew on me, for sure. QT and Olivia were both great gamers.

I’m super afraid of heights, you won’t even catch me on a ladder. But oddly enough, flying I’m good with. Water however is one of my biggest fears, especially after I lost my brother to a drowning accident. So this book set off some emotions and anxiety, I’ll tell ya that much!

Falling by TJ Newman was an easy 5 stars for me. Love that book. I gave Drowning 4 stars. I gave Razorblade Tears 3 stars lol

lol well we also have some favorites that are the same, so maybe our taste isn’t complete opposite 😜 reading is subjective tho, so it would be rare to find someone with the absolute exact opposite taste I would think
