Thanks bud for the correction I was shooting from the hip on that one had to shoot and couldn't find my Manual for it in time. Much appreciated and thanks for watching!
Hello again Manny. I just wanted to touch base with you to see if you have shot footage with that P1? I subscribed to your channel, but for some reason I haven’t been getting any updates. I will double check that myself. Also let me know if you are still in need of a lens hood. I have a few extra ones. I am the guy that made the Bolex P1 benefits and features video here on RUclips. I love the Bolex regular 8mm cameras.
Is the Paillard Bolex P1 for DS8 or 2x8mm film? Which one is better? P1, P2, P3? I shot on a Czech camera, a Russian Quartz-zoom DSS-3, but I want to progress further. Thanks
Hey there the P1 is 2x8mm film camera. from what i've heard the P1 and the p3 because they had farther focal distance but this may mean the less elements in the P2 would make for a sharper picture. pure speculation from here say I have P1 and I love it! whenever i see the images i get from this guy it blows me away and I have yet to shoot any color yet. The variable shutter is very nice to have if shooting with a high iso film in the sun you can adjust your shutter accordingly. Hard to find in cameras of that era. Definately very nice cameras! I have a couple of quarz a ds8 and 2x8 both still run great and take great pictures, Hey thanks for watching and Happy shooting!
@@tiomannysworld6835 I bought a P3 Bolex after I made that comment and it needs a CLA. But it works, just a lil slow. The power zoom half works it will zoom in but not out. Better than something not working at all I guess…
Hello Manny, great seeing you here again. I know im late to the party. But just so you are aware the actual shutter angle on the P1 is 150 degrees.

Bought one on eBay and had to return it due to something wrong with the shutter. Better luck next time I guess…
