Ecosystem Game Overview:
Grow and modify an ecosystem, with simulated evolution by natural selection creating the lifeforms that inhabit it. All the creatures in the trailer evolved on their own in the game. None were hand-edited!

Ecosystem Gameplay Features:
Virtual creatures evolve on their own to adapt to an environment you create
At Ecosystem's heart are evolving virtual lifeforms, who grow from synthetic DNA and live in a physically-simulated ocean. This synthetic DNA encodes everything about a creature, from skeletal structure to skin, from joint-types to mental processes. The genetic code of a creature can mutate, combine, be spliced with other species, and be directly modified by the player.
Creatures' nervous systems evolve along with their bodies
Creature brains are also encoded in DNA and subject to evolution. The neurology of a virtual lifeform is a pipeline computer where, every moment, data from sense organs is passed through a network of neurons and finally contracts a muscle in a specific body part.
Movement is bound by the laws of fishics
To swim, creatures don't just play an animation. They move like real sea-life, applying torque at their joints to push against the water in a way coordinated to propel themselves forward. Working within this physical simulation, evolution can produce an enormous variety of body shapes and swimming styles.
Play for thousands of hours and never see the same animal twice!
A wide variety of different creature populations share a single environment, where they swim, graze, prey on each other, and have children. The fittest creatures pass their genes along to their children, and over time a world of strange and unique creatures is born...

Technically they are native since no animals existed before. Native is the opposite of invasuve

@@robertcaldwell6267 but they are teh original inhabitants of ecosystem. Invasive species are creatures brought by humans such as by boat and plane. So like fire ants are invasive in canafs
What he meant is in the real world, some of the plants were invasive species, not that they were invasive to the seafloor in that spot.
Actually there is some real animals in there invertabrates on the ground,barely any predators that are real, and most plants,a lot of coral and bacterai that are created (photosynthesis is food that plants eat that then produce 02 that we consume and breath out carbon dioxide wich helps are planet atmosphere and plants wich are abundant in the ocean) and most of these animals I am talking about is the preebolution ones.( I am a nerd)

Hey, Blitz, you should play a game called Thrive! It’s a single-cellular evolution game, similar to Spore’s cell stage! There will eventually be a entire game where you can evolve from a cell to a god, like a modern day Spore, but it’s very early in development so the cell stage is the only stage right now.

I think that green creature just dabbed
So here's why i think evolution has to have done sort of progenitor or guiding hand. Some how some way protoviruses became bacteria which became algae which became underwater plants, but the next step was somehow to become a creature that would swim and feed off of plants. It's such a massive jump between plants and some animal/ fish/ thing that eats plants that i cannot fathom it happening by random chance.

It took me 4:37 to be completely disgusted and even dizzy, maybe I'm missing something, but why the hell does everything, even the solid rocks in motion? The player, the camera is already underwater so it can't reflect on the moving waters surface in a weird way...
