These were the episodes that first got me hooked on Flite Test and got me back into the hobby! My daughter and I went to Flite Fest West, we even have a video of it on our channel, one of the most fun things the two of us have done together. She still proudly displays her girl gremlin stickers in her room and talks about it.
Ah memories... i miss dave windestall. Specifically his afterburner vampire. That sounded amazing. Bring it back! Also how about a fpv glider return from high altitude ballon drop?
Josh, I think it's time you revisit the oldies and rebuild them with today's tools/materials/electronics and your present of knowledge of buiding :-) PS Been here since day one and still loving this :-)
had some major surgery back then, flitetest video's pulled me through. thanks guys! i'll keep watching your stuff it gives me energy. keep the old stuff alive. and like some other commenters say: get the whole crew (old and new) together and have some good times.
throwback thursday? attempting these crazy things like flying a cinder brick with the tools you have today? endless days of watching your old videos is what got me back into r/c planes a few years back. i love it all.
Such nostolgia. Omg I'd do anything to get this era back with the knowledge you guys have now. I loved David so much and when he left the show it hit me hard. Thank you guys for making videos, I really needed to see this stuff.
Oh man I miss these videos! I’ve been watching your videos for around 6 and a half years and these OG episodes never get old. True nostalgia to see you guys revisit these episodes!!
Nice job guys, been a old time balsa builder for years and life made me take a break from the hobby and my obsession to build and fly airplanes. I am now getting back into it and learning electric and teaching my kids as i go along and flight test has helped me in this process. Thanks Flight Test and your team.
The Old Man can still remember a lot of this. You guys continue to be awesome in entertaining us. All you have done over the years is get better in your videos and plane building. You have the same desire and drive. Love you guys and your videos. ✈😎💗
I love seeing these old projects in this condensed manner with you reminiscing about what was going on in that time. I hope there will be more to follow. As a relatively new subscriber (probably for the last 200 - 400 vids or so), I was always intimidated by the sheer amount of vids you already had. And with these videos, I am able to follow you around, back in time, and see these crazy projects with some background information.
these are the days I remember most!! I am 38 and have been here since these earlyiest videos so seeing the block and turkey and josh scott wow its been a loooong time and im old...
So many of us miss the old days. This is great guys! My first video was the AirHogs X-Wing review, which I got for my friend, then bought for myself, and then found you guys! Now I'm crazy for the hobby,. Thanks so much for all the inspiration!
It's good to revisit the old videos and see just how far you all have come. Top job! you can do more of this type of video for me! Take care and stay safe, from down under.
Love this video's. I had so much catching up to do during my first year of flitetest 4 years ago. Got totally inspired and went from total zero to now designing and flying my own models. Looking forward to more of these reminiscing video. Very much fun how you guys look back onto your memories. Keep up guys and stay safe!
Josh, I'm so happy to hear you say "I wanna build that again, I wanna build that again"! I've been looking forward to you and the crew revisiting these old builds, especially the first videos. This would be incredible content. I love you clowns, and I'm proud to support you! Keep it it up!
I have followed FT for years and love every episode, you guys are doing something great for many people and the hobby, thanks for all the fun, education, tips and the community you made.
Definitely a fan of these times of videos! Great to reminisce about the old projects and maybe get some ideas of what to revisit now that the technology is better
I was a subscriber back then so none of these are new to me, now an aeronautical engineer working at London Heathrow, in part due to those early videos so Thankyou very much guys!
Great trip down memory lane guys. It's funny because I remember exactly what was going on in my life when those videos came out. Those days seem like they were only a couple of years ago, ya'll have come so far. Looking forward to the future of FT.
I remember all those episodes! It sure was nice to revisit the early days. You guys got me into RC by making it affordable, and these first episodes came during the time that I was having my own adventures in learning to build and fly. Those were great times!
I remember all those planes really early on..yours was first thing i ever subbed..i learnt nearly everything in the hobby from you..servos, escs, building. planes then on to Quads...great fun to see these videos again..Josh scott and David deffo big part of it..and Bixlers genuine enthusiasm ..
Great to see the old videos and it's so cool to see how Flite Test has grown. I often think about Josh and David and wonder how they're doing. Josh was a perfect straight man to help explain and educate the uninitiated (like me) and David was clearly a genius with a lot of personality. I would love to know what they're doing these days.
I discovered FT when you had two kits for sale - the three plane kit and the FT Blender. I ordered them both and built and flew them all. And sucked at it. I have followed your adventures ever since. What a trip! Thanks!!
I loved these old build challenges and the build offs were especially my favorites. I wish they would revisit these builds with a twist with the new cast, crew and build materials
yasss, definitely want more videos like this! This is super refreshing and a super convenient way to bridge quarantine time with nice content! Keep it up and keep em coming! Cannot wait for the next part
*This video was great* ! It brought back the good memories when I was 10 - 11 years old where I'd lay awake at night dreaming about building my own planes.
You guys have seriously motivated me to continue to build and buy kits and scratch build rather then buy arf's or BNF and it had brought a whole new joy to the hobby and helped me to learn so much about the airplanes them selves
Just a joy to look at the development and improvement of flitetest. You are really inspiring people and teach them how to get into the hobby. LOVE YOU and greetings from Germany :D
When video 400 came out, I was just learning to fly. Watching through the gator cam, on the 200% spitfire, helped so much because I could see exactly what you were doing with the stick as I was seeing the plane react to the input. Priceless! I even commented that you guys should keep that view for upcoming episodes!
Great video! Loved going down memory lane. I remember each of these projects (including the Blender). I think it would be really interesting to re-attempt some of these projects with all of your new knowledge/experience and resources. Point out some of the challenges and shortfalls of the past and how you address them today. I miss Josh Scott, he was fun. He also did a good job of representing "the new guy" to the hobby.
That was awesome! More for sure. It would be super cool to go back and improve earlier projects with what you have learned over the years.. I'd watch for sure! Even cameo some earlier FT temps. You guys are the best!
I'm so glad I discovered Flite Test back in the beginning, you helped me get to where I am now in the RC world. Keep up the good work and stay safe. Hope to see you at Edgewater soon!
I still laugh about Alex asking Josh "how's the glideslope?" And a winged mail box PLUMMETS to the ground at the dirt pile field. It's not logical at all but something about that just cracks me up.
Hey guys! You won't believe me, but since few days I've been started re-watching all the old episodes! One of my favorites has to come: WC!!! 😅 When I built my first plane, was quite cute, but ugly to flight, so I named it "flying wc"! Pending for new episodes of this serie!!! 💪🏼
Yes!!!!!! More of this this is the content that got me into this group and is why I now have multiple planes! And you guys are why I will have some of your planes in my hanger soon! Love seeing this stuff keep uo the good work 👍👍
I still very often go back and rewatch old ft airplane release/review videos where you guys would just gather together, fly, and talk about the design while flying. I've probably watched the ft simple cub episode a hundred times by now.
Would love to see more episodes and part two. Long time viewer here from where I was in late elementary to early Junior high. You guys always made me not feel like a outcast in school because there were other people close to me (I'm in South West Ohio north of Cincinnati) that shared the same passion as me!!! So I would also love to take a trip down memory lane with you guys as I've been here (almost) from the very beginning
Brilliant....... bringing back some great memories when I first started following flight test.... I defiantly need to go back and build a few of those early planes..... Thank you guys for the hours for entertainment and information.... I hope that one day you guys can make it back to the south of France
I'd love to see a Cinderblock II project at some point. Seeing those clips brings back some great memories of videos with Josh Scott, David W, and Peter Sripol from the early days of FliteTest.
This is nice to reflect back upon and hear your reactions. Perhaps, something to include in between these episodes is to also rebuild some of these planes, but using what you know now to slightly modify the designs. Keep up the great work and thank you for making this quarantine more tolerable.
I espeaily like the biwing planes you guys build. Reminds me of the barn storming days in the old days. Thanks to all for the videos. Be safe. Peace.🇺🇸
Great to see these 'highlights' again. I remember quite a few! I feel these less slick projects had -and still have- an extra element to them for me. Ironing out the wrinkles over the years may give a smooth result; It also takes out the personal, idiosyncratic, and uniqueness of self-builds!! That's why I don't like buying planes so much... I want to fly something I built, even if it sometimes flies like a breezeblock or is built using one! Hence I refer to my planes as being from 'garbage airlines'; Since the trash bin is a great source of materials and inspiration. Keep up the good work! Stay safe & healthy. Willem.
I thought that 200 percent cruiser was so cool I ended up building it right after that video came out. Still have it and still occasionally fly it. Great memories!
Man bring back the OG intro such good memory’s
Can't believe how long it's been honestly
OMVD media ya man so crazy it’s fun being there from code to the beginning and seeing the progress :) and community
whats up guys welcome back to my moms basement
IKR I’ve been here since day 1 almost exactly I remember when they hit 1000 subs
Its been sometime since the good old crazy Flite Test.
I'm glad you guys went back to the old music for this nostalgic video. keep up the good work!
I still have the Fowl Flyer wing in my attic! 😂
Hi Chad!! How’s your day?
The salmonella soarer?

sir, how about the dynamo, please make for cenel like brother if you get money from yutup I'll pay
Agreed.
I would love to see these revisited.
it's so satisfying watching those planes land.
David Windesthal was a lot of fun to watch what he could bring out of his head on the table.
Great time with Josh too.
had some major surgery back then, flitetest video's pulled me through. thanks guys! i'll keep watching your stuff it gives me energy. keep the old stuff alive. and like some other commenters say: get the whole crew (old and new) together and have some good times.
throwback thursday? attempting these crazy things like flying a cinder brick with the tools you have today? endless days of watching your old videos is what got me back into r/c planes a few years back. i love it all.
Josh should revisit all the big builds.
You guys are amazing. I wasn't following you guys at the time these old videos were done. Thanks for the look back through your history.
Josh said it himself. i was there to see the 1st cinder block fly and i wanna b here to see the next. flying brick v2
Nice job guys, been a old time balsa builder for years and life made me take a break from the hobby and my obsession to build and fly airplanes. I am now getting back into it and learning electric and teaching my kids as i go along and flight test has helped me in this process.

I have been following you guys since almost the beginning. Thank you for the tour down memory lane. Keep them coming
When I first subscribed I spent hours going back and watching all these old videos - so much fun.
Love this video's. I had so much catching up to do during my first year of flitetest 4 years ago. Got totally inspired and went from total zero to now designing and flying my own models. Dang, i started watching back in 2012. Its amazing how much has changed.I wish you guys did random videos like these old ones.
A toaster, a blender, a microwave... My challenge to you: You should build a flying kitchenette.
Thank you for the trip down memory lane! Can't believe it's been so long. It feels as though these videos were released just yesterday.
The story of FT is pretty amazing. Awesome how you guys grew it from what it was to what it is...something to be proud of!
I have followed FT for years and love every episode, you guys are doing something great for many people and the hobby, thanks for all the fun, education, tips and the community you made.
Definitely a fan of these times of videos! Great to reminisce about the old projects and maybe get some ideas of what to revisit now that the technology is better
I love to watch the old videos and hear about the challenges and unexpected happenstances.
Love this format. I can proudly say I watched all of these episodes. Most of them when they first came out.
I was a subscriber back then so none of these are new to me, now an aeronautical engineer working at London Heathrow, in part due to those early videos so Thankyou very much guys!
Man, your channel got me into rc airplanes and scratch building them when I was nine
Great trip down memory lane guys. It's funny because I remember exactly what was going on in my life when those videos came out. Those days seem like they were only a couple of years ago, ya'll have come so far. Looking forward to the future of FT.
I just recently got into the hobby and your videos. So glad you guys are out there to help us newbies

Love the old style videos. The failures taught so much.
I loved these old build challenges and the build offs were especially my favorites. I wish they would revisit these builds with a twist with the new cast, crew and build materials
This definitely brings back memories that helped bring me back into this awesome hobby. Please continue to do these OG videos.
I love this video. I found y'all about three weeks after y'all started, and often go back and watch the older videos.

I enjoy the “can we make it fly” videos.
When video 400 came out, I was just learning to fly. Rebuild all of these. Would love to see the changes in build! It's all about learning!
Thanks for posting this, as you suspected, they were videos I hadn’t seen before. Great stuff, thanks Flight Test.

Great Video. I really miss the simple videos like those! It reminds me how much fun RC is.
I remember the 400th episode, wow April 1st 2014 ...have enjoyed so many years of FF good wholesome fellowship with brothers
Oh I remember David. My word was it that long ago? Thanks, guys that was such fun. Looking forward to the next instalment.
I espeaily like the biwing planes you guys build. Reminds me of the barn storming days in the old days. Thanks to all for the videos. Be safe. Peace.🇺🇸

I love that even though we're on quarantine you guys are still making videos!!! You guys made my day!!!!!!!
That humongous Spitfire CRACKED me up! Great review!!
Super fun to hear your take on some of the really old stuff.
I love this trip down memory lane, and I LOVE the big builds! I know, no one is surprised. XD
Let's see more giant planes! :D
I really enjoyed this trip down memory lane. We need to see part 2.
