I made this cake about a week ago. Was a hit and will make again. The only thing I did different and not on purpose was I could only find a 15oz can of cream of coconut. Since I had never used it before I mixed the whole can with the sweetened condensed milk....I wasn't scared(LOL) just went for it and it was just fine. A great go to cake that most will love, except the coconut haters. Can't please everybody!
That looks so good! Think I’ll give it a try. It’s nice to hear a fellow Texas gal on You Tube. Keep on doing what you do. You are a breath of fresh air in this fakey world we live in.
Oh Talli Faye I lol when you sprinkled that cherry juice, like I was meant too!🤣 The final result looked scrumptious, just like all your other recipes! Hope y’all have a blessed Sunday rain and all, we are gonna be getting rain here in NC too!👋👋🫶😂
That looks delicious! The only thing I am going to do different is, I will put the cool whip layer on right after the pineapple, before I add the coconut and cherries. Thank you for sharing this yummy recipe!
This takes me back to my childhood! I haven't thought about cream of coconut since Momma made this when I was a kid. The only thing she did different was toasting the coconut for the top of the cake. A true classic. Thanks for bringing back such sweet memories!
Tali Faye you are a wizard in the kitchen! It’s honest down home cooking all the way. Thank you for sharing your experience and recipes. Best videos ever! 🥥🍍💚
Hello Talli Faye. Enjoy you're video's. You make cooking fun and like you say " Don't be scared" you girl crack me up. You are an original. Watching from Tennessee. Go Vols!
Hi Talli Faye 👋 First off, you look so pretty in those colors. You are always able to pull off bright colors beautifully. If I try, I look like a Mr. Yuck sticker or "Hey Kool-aid" 🤣 That cake looks so good. I can't believe you've never used Coco Lopez before. I use it when I make my coconut cream pies and Almond Joy Fudge. One of my favorite cakes is called a Pina Colada Party Cake. I got the recipe from the back of a yellow cake mix over 30 years ago. It's a poke cake too, but with cooked pineapple syrup poured into the holes. It has a frosting on it that has a couple of drops of rum extract in it and topped with toasted coconut. Yours sounds even better 😋 Anyway, thanks for sharing another delicious recipe. I hope Buzz didn't get rained out. Love yas and take care, stay safe, and have a blessed Sunday XO 🤗 😘 💗 🙏 🐾
Can't wait to try this. I love how you use simple ingredients and simple kitchen tools that everyone has. Also did anyone sing the pins colada song or was that just me? 😊
Visit Nova Scotia! It's been raining here all day, as it often does. PS....for years I've done this came mix hack: butter instead of oil, milk (or cream) instead of water, one extra egg, and add 1 tsp of vanilla. It's not exactly like homemade, but close!
The Pina Colada cake looks amazing! When you got a few drips of cherry juice on the whipped topping I wondered if you would do something with that. When you just put more drops of cherry juice on it I laughed out loud and knew that’s exactly what I would have done!! Don’t be scared… right? Love your videos… thank you.
One of my favorite drinks is a Pina Colada. My mom used to make them in the blender all the time. I am gathering the ingredients to make this cake right now. I can't wait to see how it tastes. The only thing missing will be the rum. Thanks for starting my day with a smile, y'all. Sending love from Illinois to Texas.
I've been checking all day to see if you have put out a new video. Pina Colada is right up my alley. Yum!! My store only has 15oz cans of cream of coconut, guess I will need to make a virgin pina colada drink...with vanilla ice cream.
Also the longer in the fridge the better it gets. I dont put the cool whip on until the cake has cooled Instead of using the milk can use the bigger can of creme of coconut
Looks wonderful! I'll make it for a potluck sometime. Hubby can't eat pineapple or coconut. 😢 I love both and never get to eat it. Saved the video! Thanks for sharing! 😊

Yes!
You can put the creme of coconut can and soak in warm water and will make it more liquidity
As you know, anything with coconut is on my top list. Another winner for sure. 😋

It would be pretty to toast the top coconut. Looks delicious!
I did think about doing that!… The only reason I didn’t was cause I was thinking about it being pina colada😊
The crème of coconut in my town is found by the drink mixes…Like for alcoholic drinks! They use it make pina colado drinks. I love your show!
I didn’t think of that lol !
Miss Tally Faye, looks soooo good. I love poke cakes Love that bottom layer, like a tres leche. Hugs, Karla in Cali.

I’d say it’s delicious but I can’t handle all that sweetness
Thank you Tallie Faye. Yummy
It sounds like it is already raining!!!
You could make a nice jello with that juice
I use the frozen Pina Cola mix.
Cold and windy here in plumerville Arkansas, a/c Thursday, heat on yesterday and today, but it's Arkansas weather
You can also make a yummy punch with those leftover juices
Yes!
Those burgers with the crust should be called Texas crust
What if you just mixed your pineapple in with the whipped topping and spread it, and then sprinkle the coconut on top of it ⁉️🤔
