The explanation basically says that your brain stores information based on different categories such as tools, colors, furniture, etc., but you mostly memorize the most memorable of each category so red is the most memorable color and hammer is the most memorable tool.

I remember watching this when I was a kid, maybe I was like 12 or 13. He got the answer so off. 10 years later, I've forggoten about it and I said red hammer this time. When he showed the red hammer I remembered I've watched thia before and answered differently. Funny how my answer change and it's interesting I've forgotten about it until the red hammer was revealed.
