As a Swede... I think I'd just like to come over and eat Your non-traditionally-measured Indian Fried Bread! 😘 You two are funny and I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation and will def try this "recipe"!! 😊
"Tore it half to feed all the indians" ...you guys made laugh so hard!!!🤣🤣. Great sense of humor and when I was in New Mexico ...I used to visit a reservation there and would always eat fry bread....the best!!!
I almost passed on watching this video since I had already viewed quite a few other ones, but I'm soooooooo glad I watched it. Y'all are just great, and one of the only video's I've actually watched and giggled while watching. You're so down to earth!!! Thanks for giving me the best fry bread recipe as well the most fun - all at the same time. I hope you will make another video soon about....................about anything!!!
You bring me back to my childhood 55 years ago when Paul & Robert Kellwood and I would go see his Aunt Connie and Uncle Roy in Window Rock, we ate fry bread until all of the 10 pounds of flour was gone... This is a great memory for us, and you two have revived it so sweetly by making it the same way as his Aunt Connie does. Man-o-man going to have to make myself some fry bread and share it with the spirit of Paul and Uncle Roy.
You two are hilarious, this was fun learning how to make fry bread, the authentic way. It is important to promote your culture! Keep the videos coming and we wish you success. :)
I have watched many fry bread tutorials on RUclips this morning... Ladies, yours is the most entertaining! I learned AND laughed! Thank you so much for taking the time to share! Making my first fry bread now...
Love this episode! This is what all RUclips videos should be, funny, entertaining and completely wonderful. Love the reference from one of my favorite movies of all time, btw. I don't want to give it away but let me quote "some days it is a good day to die...and some days it is a good day to have breakfast!". Keep up the outstanding g work!
Awesome video! This is how I was taught to make frybread, also how to bake. When I was asked what my measurements were, like you, I couldn't tell anyone either. So what I did was make some and each step I weighed what I measured in my hands and now my wife weighs or measures everything I do in the kitchen lol
This is my first time seeing you girls. Im so glad I decided to watch. I love the giggles and the absolute down to earth style of teaching. Thanks for sharing. Keep it up😊
My grandmother taught me to cook and I use the same measuring system. Grandma was part native American but I know others whose families can from Europe who use the same system. Things to use for measuring were in short supply and took more work to clean. This works and people who don't like to see it can just watch something else and miss the joy of watching the two of you.
I've watched a lot of RUclipss to learn to do this myself, but I believe the recipes will all taste OK, but you two are the most fun frybread makers yet!
Lynn Tisi hi name is Michael, do you know how to make some fry bread, if so you should post a video, just a suggestion. I think you could do a good job, what do you think?
Love your tutorial ladies, The laughter is what made my day as I am also an Indigenous bannock maker from Canada. Keep the imagination alive! Look forward to other tutorials you two might be doing in the future. Long live fry bread!🦅
I went to the casino today and tried fry bread for the first time and now I'm OBSESSED! Yours look so good, cant wait to try and make this at home thank you!
I think you young ladies are great. I really enjoyed the video. It's nice that you are able to make the things that your Grama taught you without measuring utensils. They just seem to know things feeling by hand or sight and it's nice that you were learning the same way. I'll definitely try this soon. It looks good. If you could speak up a little for some of us gramas that would be good but keep up the giggles!
Loved this video. Thank you so much. I used to live in Minnesota and could get fry bread all the time. Now I'm in South Carolina and will have to make it myself. Thanks again for showing me how to do it right.
I am anxious to try your fry bread recipe ! It was fun watching you young ladies making this delicious looking bread ! Thanks for the recipe ! God Bless you both !
Yep! That's the same recipe. That my late grandma from New Mexico. Used flour, salt and baking soda. And also, many Navajos from the New Mexico areas. Relatives on my dad's side of the family. My mom also learned to make frybread from my late grandma Virginia Begay. And when you first start to make frybread. It always comes out hard as a rock. And so, just practicing and practicing. And you'll get better at it. Where it would come out just right.
Just joined your Channel from California. Memories of my Mom measuring just like you when she made her homemade tortillas and fry bread She was born and raised in Winslow Arizona and Yes I have Native American in me I'm glad I found your channel. Wishing You a Very Happy Blessed New Month Ahead ❤️
Thank you for this video. Not only did I learn how to make frybread, but I was entertain as well! I love your playful sense of humor. Reminds me of my daughter. You gals are just adorable! Stay blessed!
I just found you because I was looking to make sure I had my recipe correct!! You guys are an absolute joy to watch!!!! I liked and subbed, Thank you for sharing!!!!!!
In the 60's. When my dad first went went to Stuart Indian school. In Cason city,Nevada. He would tell us that no natives made frybread at all. . Only the girls Navajo club did.
You ladies make your fry bread the way I make my bannock. No measuring tools just eye ball it. Must work cause it always comes out fine. You two are fun. Keep it up.
I love your video! I have watched a few fry bread videos but yours s by far the greatest! Y'all are so funny and entertaining. I can't wait to see more of your videos. 😁
I’m from Europe and my grandma and my mom always make fried bread but they put cheese inside to and it is awesome. Thanks for the video, you two are sweet.
What a pleasure to watxh, I've seen other videos on making this and yours was by far the easiest to follow along with, exxpecially the 'no measuring cups' part, just handfuls. Thank you, I will be making this soon
I appreciate the thoughtful approach with "preparation to cook" measures you ladies take. Others cooks with their jangly bracelets, sleeves sweeping over and into food, and unsecured, bicep-length hair, make it harder to take them seriously.
Ladies I really appreciate this video I wanted to learn how to make frybread since my grandmother passed away. She never got to show me how, but see yall make it brings back yummy memories 😋
Watching your video is like chilling out with my cousins watching them cook in my village. Love it!! Thank you and now I am going to my kitchen to make these for my kids for breakfast . Mummy-me that I am I think I will serve them with sour cream and bashed avocado.
HEY VICTOR !!!Your DAD Was a .....LOL Great job Ladies !!! Im First Nations from CANADA and I thoroughly enjoyed your Fry Bread making skills ...Keep it up Ladies. thats how you make 16 fry bread for 32 people ...Rip it in half !!! lol Priceless !!! :)

You both are great! I enjoy cooking and baking with friends, and this video shows why - it's pure memories. Thanks for sharing this recipe! I've been craving fry bread the past week or so, and came upon your video after a few others. :) God bless you ladies!
I grew up basically ON the Wind River res..I woke up this morning with the thoughts of smelling fresh hot fry bread & was immediately homesick...look up traditional fry bread and here you ladies are! What a wonderful video, you both made my day with a big smile! Of course the only thing that would make my day perfect is if I had some fry bread dang 😂
I moved to Georgia from So-Cal a few years ago. You have no idea how much I missed fry bread! Thank you thank you thank you for posting this. It's like being back at home. I can make Indian Tacos now!!!! Yay!!!!!
I just came across this recipe again ! It was such fun watching these two young ladies make the Indian Fry Bread ! They had so much fun ! God Bless you both !
Thank you so much! I was actually looking for the scene in Smoke Signals where Victor's mom explains to him how she makes frybread and really she is explaining about family. Didn't find that, but found you! Frybread is my favorite bread! I always thought it was a big mystery, that I couldn't do it myself, but you demonstrate it so well in this fun video. Thank you for sharing.
There was going to be a frybread riot for sure!! Hey victor hey victor! Lol! Da anzho ! Ladies just like my grandmas and my moms! Great video ladies. Ahee ihyeh.
I'm half German half potawatami .this is the same way I was taught to make it.also I measure everything like that 🥰.your channel is the fist I've found I wanted to subscribe to pertaining to any native American recipes.
Lol that's why I'm searching you tube and the internet. No one in my family ever wrote my grandmother's recipe down. They just knew how much of everything to add. I have not had any sweetbread in decades. So I will try your recipe.
My grandma taught me how to make frybread the same way... with hand measurements and she always told me I’d eventually learn my own hand measurements and would adapt it myself. I doubted myself too much lol. Now i mix it without paying too much attention. Thank you for the video though! I was forwarded your video to see how to hand pull my dough since I am left handed and awkward lol.
You guys are fabulous! You love for each other a pleasure to watch. My jewish grandmother from Eastern Europe taught me to cook the same way...hands as measuring tools. Kinda feel sorry for people that didn't get to learn that way. Thank You!
Y'all are adorable! I was looking for a video to share with some cousins who have never made fry bread and you two remind me how giggly and happy I get with my native cousins. Also, love that reference to Arlene's magical frybread. Much love from Quapaw Nation.
Truly entertaining! It's 1am here in Trinidad and I could really eat a piece of that! Love your unique way of presenting! Here in Trinidad our recipe is much like yours, but we say fry bakes. The Dominican version is of a different texture. I have developed my own "trindom"version and sometimes roll them out and cut into 4 triangles, served with either filling or with side dish/es.
Ladies, the way you use your hands as measurements is traditional tools, not the other way around! Haha. Good job. Reminds me of how my grandma made them.
OMGoodness! I’ve been watching a few RUclips videos on fry bread recipes and when I came across yours I thought to myself, I’ve seen this one before years ago and sure enough it was the two of you that I remembered watching and having a good time along with you both. So how are you? Is everybody married? Anyone have any babies? Still making fry bread without measuring tools like your Moms, Grandmothers, Great grandmothers from generations ago? Thanks for making your recipe from generations ago, way, way back so simple and easy. There was just much fun in that kitchen!😂🙏💝
Love the video! Made me laugh. I love your measurements. My mom never measured anything lol just measure your confidence when you add your ingredients lol
I like to also experiment with fry bread, like put fruit in it or Jalapenos or even powdered sugar on it! What do you think?? You women did a fantastic job!!
As a Swede... I think I'd just like to come over and eat Your non-traditionally-measured Indian Fried Bread! 😘

It's good to watch native american ancient foods still being used today. I myself am a proud Native American indian, from the Blackfoot tribe.

Is "My mom makes better fry bread than your mom" the equivalent to "My dad can beat up your dad"?
But my mom does are better fried bread than yours
My mom can make better frybred and can woop your dad at the same time
Y’all are awesome and the fry bread looks delicious
