New Order/Joy Division have always been my favorite band....I once went to the Comedy Store with Nick Frost, way back in about 1990....He used to work on the Marvins Magic counter in Hamleys.
Please stop saying that Noel Gallagher should've recieved that award. New Order obviously deserve this award better than anyone else in this video (even PSB)! They contributed so much in British music, and they're amazing musicians, rare are the bands who survived after the death of their singer, and rare are the bands who had the ability to change their style and do great music afterall. And I don't think Noel Gallagher or Oasis are anything of that.

New Order, Joy Division spawned many groups, Electronic, Monaco, The Other Two etc are all top notch musicians and great tunes. Don't get me wrong I love all those bands, but for me the PSB's are the real geniuses!

Actually, what you just said was quite ignorant. I said that half the major inventions originated in the UK, the UK includes Scotland, Ireland (for a time, now Northern Ireland) and Wales - Scotland and Ireland were very influential in terms of modern invention, especially Scotland during the 'Scottish Englightenment' period

The Brits weren't good at anything for the past 700 years? I seem to recall that the British Empire was the largest (the sun never set on it) in history and I believe your country was in it - o well! Also, half the major inventions have come from the UK.
