Drag Race - Honda CRF230F Vs Honda CRF250F!

- Drag race between a 2005 Honda CRF230F and a 2020 CRF250F. Bikes are dead even until top gear where the CRF250F begins to pull away. CRF230F is rated at approximately 19HP stock and the CRF250F at 24HP.
Me and my friend ride these bikes, me a 2017 230f and him a 2024 250f and they are very similar to each other. We are the same weight so here is the results. The 230 has a power up kit making it keep up very well with the 250, especially right off the bat because the 230 has more get up and go. The 230 would win a short race while the 250 would win a longer race having more time to catch up.
That race was closer than I expected. Great video. 🔥
The 230F has 6 gears vs 5 on the 250F so may have better torque at the wheel in the lower gears....I think I'm also a bit lighter than my opponent ;)
At the small weights of dirt bikes and low horsepower of each, even a small difference in rider weight is going to have a noticeable effect. Drag races are fun though. Sounded like maybe third gear was missed.

Surprisingly close, i prefer trail bikes as they are way less of a headache than MX's
They are a lot less stressful to ride in many situations for sure. More fun and relaxed. I'm riding an enduro WR250F now but miss my CRF230F.

The 230 does feel much lighter, has a lower center of gravity, and is more flickable.

Desafortunadamente no tengo accesso a esos modelos. En mi area se ven muy pocas Kawasaki's en tierra aparte de la KLR650.
Ni siquiera da bien los cambios y no puede coger el acelerador... lol
