    • @demirdemirbag3194
      @demirdemirbag3194 Год назад

      Look for "-mak" "-mek" at the end of the word. Example: Yap = Do, Yapmak = To Do. Çek = Pull, Çekmek = To Pull. Yes, there are nouns that end with -mek, -mak, but they are rare. An example is Çakmak. Çakmak = (Cigarette) Lighter. (Çakmak is also a verb by the way, meaning To Hit. The contect in which it is used defines its meaning in this case.)

    • @serrainan4315
      @serrainan4315 3 года назад +1

      Actually no, closest pronunciation of ş is like “sh”. We pronounce r like “ er, ar, ur, ...” it depends on the vowel before the r . And when you pronounce such endings like er ar ur ür ır ir we don’t round ouw lips like americans does so.

    It would help to have some sort of logical order to these words instead of the mess it's arranged in right now.

      @@bandamlouji4755 You are right but sorting the words into categories and then arranging it alphabetically would have been a lot better. The list as it is right now, even when it's sorted by letter there is no logical order and feels all over the place. I'm sorry this just awakens the Marie Kondo in me.

    Someone please explain, I watch Turkish series with English subs. I am surprised when a female, a sister is called a brother or a he; also "you are welcome" is used when the Turkish dialogue seems to be a request, not a welcoming to someone's home. Are the translations done by computer program?
    Just two minor things, often the translations are extremely poor and difficult to follow.

      Hi, “Hoşgeldin” means “Welcome to my house(or wherever you arrived)” “Rica ederim” is “You are welcome!”. About the brother thing. İn Turkey we can say “kardeşim” to basically anyone. She or he doesnt mather you can say “kardeşim” which means “my sibling, my brother, my sister, my friend”. Even when u are fighting in traffic u can say “kardeşim” to the person you are fighting or arguing.

      @@pr1ce804 thank you, so in some ways a genderless language, what about when the English translation is saying "you are welcome" but the Turkish dialogue seems to be sort of an argument/ or seems to be begging for something, but they do not say Lutfen

    • @pr1ce804
      @pr1ce804 3 года назад +2

      @@noblumoon Well, the Turkish doesn’t have he she it. We speak without these gender words. For example in Russian table has a gender, pencil has a gender etc. Turkish don’t have any of these. So I don’t want you to be confused thats why I am just gonna tell you these simple sentences: 1) We welcome our guest by saying “Hoş geldiniz”. 2)When some one says “thank you” u say “Rica Ederim.” Turkish is very very difficult language if u ask me. But it is the language that u can express yourself the best way :)

      @@noblumoon And there is some words like “Eyvallah” which u can use it for a lot of meanings. The meanings of this word: Thank you, I’m good, no thanks, see u later, Okay I get it etc. So like I said its a very interesting and difficult language.
