- All of the Panoz Esperante GTR-1 Race Car '98's appearances in the Gran Turismo series. I definitely did not use this car as much as I should have. And now that it is missing from the Gran Turismo series, I miss it! I mean...would I use it to drive myself...no. Would I use it as an opponent to race against in Gran Turismo 7's custom races...YES!
I didn't use it much because personally, it's handling wasn't to my liking. It always felt stiff to turn, and when it did turn, it went too wide. Plus it was too heavy too. Great acceleration....not so great at everything else...
I know, I thought I had did it too. But no...there's also another American race car from GT3 that I haven't uploaded yet...so I'll get on that!
But Polyphony did this car dirty, especially in GT3 where I have the most memories of it. Pretty much always came last. It did have better luck in GT4, I remember it being better, its acceleration was always its strong suit...but handling - dreadful 😬
That's because the performance of this is nerfed BIG-TIME, it's severely overweight

The Panoz is such an underrated race car. I always prefer the one in GT4 for one reason: Unique sound. In fact probably the most unique V8 i've ever heard.
Its sound in GT4 also closely matched its real life sound.

Well, considering it's got the same sound as the Ford GT40, they're both tied for best sound
@@TennysonPesco nah the esperante has a much more aggressive sound to it especially fully tuned which is why its cooler to me. The GT40 is still good and fits the car very much for how good it is
I always prefer gt3 over gt4, feel more realistic for me
Ahh yeah The nostalgic one that were became 2nd Personal favorite racing right next to the Subaru IMPREZA 22B-STi.
What is so wonderful for me is that the Panoz Esperante GTR-1 arrived in Hot Wheels back in 2000's!😺

@@theultrarealdave3052 Yeah I have a purple one. And it's reminiscent of the Road Car but keeping the racing parts. So yeh It did come out years ago.

@@SemISkUIZTheRaccoonSpider1stthe Panoz Esperante Roadster was also at TEST DRIVE 6 as well. It maybe only had 250bhp, but man it can easily keep up against R34GTR and Impreza 22B STi.
I remembered a lot that the Esperante GTR-1 from Hanayo Koizumi was shockingly, the starter car that the players wanted the most in Gran Turismo 3, although it can only be obtained after posting the top time in all 10 Time Attack Events.
The ESTPRANTE is just awesome, I don't know why they got rid of it, in my opinion the GT3 version was the best it's the one I liked the most because i had many good memories with it, in GT4 afterwards the ESPRANTE rarely appear on races which is a shame in my opinion,
Dont think they got rid of it. They probably dont have any detailed model to go off of.

@@BYardleyOfficialon Gran Turismo 3, players can get Hanayo Koizumi's Esperante GTR-1 at the very start of the game as the Simulation Mode starter car by posting top time in all 10 time Attack events. It easily can obliterate Amateur Dream Car Championship with it.
@@purwantiallan5089 I've never knew that, because I've never beaten a single time trial XD I've tried them when I was a noob but when I became pro I've never looked back at the them,
Thanks for the info by the way, I was planning to play GT3 from the start again because when I was a kid my CD died before I even finish the game i just finished around 80%, but now we have emulators, that's why I'll play this masterpiece again but this time I'll try to complete 100%

Why does the GT3 Panoz sound like a GT40?
GT5 and 6 Esperante GTR-1 also sounds like GT40 RACE CAR 1969.
@@purwantiallan5089 the Panoz in GT5 & GT6 doesn't sound like the GT40, nothing like it, sounds more like the 908 race car
How can GT3, GT4 and GTPSP have perfectly good V8 sounds... yet GT5 and GT6 sound almost nothing like cars?
That’s because 5 and 6 didn’t really put much effort into the car sounds yk.
GT5 and GT6's rendition of the car still kinda sound like V8s but extremely digitized and fucked up.
