- All of the Audi R8 Race Car '01's appearances in the Gran Turismo series. Sorry to sound like a broken record but...I miss it, I want it back in GT7 and I feel personally attacked by Polyphony that it is missing in GT7...even though I didn't own it in GT5 until...a few weeks ago lol
Anyway, I used this car in GT4 a LOT! Usually in red, although I changed it up here and used the yellow paint splash instead.

I remember watching the replays of this car in Gran Turismo 4's Replay Theatre...oh the days of looking at cars in GT4 that I could never buy because I wasn't good enough to progress past the beginner league in GT4...the Audi R8 '01 was a race car I started at for a long time lol

Yes. The engine sound in Spec II Mod on Gran Turismo 4 also sounded even better on this Audi R8 LMP1 2001 from Kanata Konoe.
On Gran Turismo 4, Kanata Konoe's Audi R8 LMP1 2001 and Kanata Konoe's 2005 Audi R8 PlayStation Team Oreca LMP1 both costed $4.500.000...
In Gran Turismo 5, this and the Pescarolo Hybride C60 are the fastest LMP cars in the game.
Setsuna Yuki's Minolta and Ayumu Uehara's Sauber C9 (with Mosquito engine noise) also are very fast like the 2005 Pescarolo.
Back when in GT4 this car was so expensive and i cant buy it because so expensive 😂
Majority of LMP1 Race cars in Gran Turismo 4 costed between $3.500.000 - $4.500.000.
This is the epitome of LMP cars I think. Not my favourite but its such a basic and obvious choice of LMP car.
Along with Mia Taylor's 2003 Bentley Speed 8.😊
