Loving these more expressive tutorials! It is really therapeutic for me because I tend to be a perfectionist and a realist, so these abstract and impressionistic pieces allow me to "just go with it".
Gorgeous as always! As a cool bit of trivia, the Thylacine brush (pronounced thy-lah-seen) is named after the Tasmanian Tiger and its stripes! Many of the brushes in Procreate are named after the flora, fauna, and places of Tasmania, where the makers of Procreate are based. Which, as a Tasmanian, makes me insanely proud 😁
What a wonderful tutorial! Thank you for sharing your process to create such joyful art, with the default Procreate brushes. That Thylacene brush is just special, and hope you keep more Painterly tutorials coming. I cannot imagine how many hours you spent in your laboratory to create this tutorial, which even a newbie like me can follow.
I have something that happened or I am just unfamiliar with. I added the palette by hexidecimals (twice because I restarted the project) and for some reason my colors were muted compared to yours. This is my first ipad and first time using procreate so Ive just been trying to absorb as much as possible. So I have no idea if I did something or have to do something to fix this. I used the same color profile I double checked the hexidecimals I tried to change the saturation for the entire project but that caused me to not be able to draw after that. So I just opened up another canvas in the app and decided to start over one more time but figured I could shoot this out there. Thank you for anyone’s time! ❤
Hiii! I have a question that I’ve been looking everywhere for an answer and I can’t seem to find one so I figured I could ask through the comments. Just like drawing on paper, most people have the side of their hand on the page. Now obviously in digital art, if u had the side of ur hand on the screen it’s going to draw there instead of where im actually trying to draw. how do I get rid of that so I can have my side up of my hand on the screen and draw the same time? I hope that made sense 😅
@@ArtwithFlo ohh ok. Thank u! I also just subscribed and I’m new to ur channel! I wanted to learn how to make digital art for when I get an iPad. But rn I’m just using my phone

Thanks for this trivia, I had no idea!
As an Aussie, I love that Procreate was made in Tassie. When I saw that brush I knew exactly where the name came from.

The Apple Pencil has palm rejection actually, so it will ignore your hand in the screen
@@ArtwithFlo so it will only work if I had an apple pen?
@@cocokittyxp6817 or another pen that has palm rejection. I have no idea what pens offer that feature
