All the angry commentors...maybe try cleaning out your ears. 😆 This is the most natural sounding drum library I've heard (and I have most of the big ones, including the expansion packs). More, the presets are varied and ready to go out-of-the box - 100% unlike Toontrack and others that still require so much more post-adjustment. The drums (and most notably, the cymbals) don't have that weird boxy sound all the other do. Can't wait to see how ML is going to expand this line. Great demo, bro!

Would you mind making a grand comparison between all famous drum libraries like SSD, EZ Drummer, Addictive Drums etc.? Like how they all sounds in the mix with your riffs. Would be interesting video for sure. Isn't it a great idea?

It's a great VST for sure but I think it's not really an EZ Drummer competitor because the former offers advanced songwriting tools e MIDI editing features which ML Drums does not provide. SO, I think I will continue to use EZ Drummer for songwriting and switching to ML Drums when it comes to mix the complete song

you can compare it to other drum vsts with simpler option sets. However EZ drummer 3 is a deep ecosystem. No contest at this point but it's a good start and the intro pricing is very reasonable. shortfalls so far, no hihat cc, very minimal hi-hat layers, minimal velocity layers.

While i feel like they have missed the mark on their last few plugins, this is looking and sounding good! I think it's more of a direct competitor to GGD, being a simple, easy to use plugin that doesn't require Kontakt and has a lot more options for basic mixing to get your going quickly.

@@apoplexiamusic Clean when it comes to guitar amps is never completely clean. Lol. I do like the way they dirty up though. Either way they have character, and MLSL were able to capture this in the plugin. Now... I will say that I have never used an actual Dumble amp, but I have used a clone. However, if you do not use / enjoy those kinda tones I can see why you would not be able to find it useful. To be honest with you, I do not particularly like Rectifier tones anyway. Amp model or real thing which is why I avoided it. They just... suck - in my opinion but to each their own. Haha.

I would say this gives MT POWER DRUM KIT 2 and Ugritone some serious competition.... But EZ Drummer? Not a chance. The bandmate function alone gives EZD3 a clear advantage, and thats just one function of EZ that makes it far greater. If you're using a free software, or Ugritone..... sure. But it's on the bottom rung of software that costs more than $20.

I see it as good for the price but EZD 3 has so much more features at this point the only thing close tab is the Mixer & the samples are just as good. but when your using ML D
wheres the Midi come from , do you have to fly it in from other apps or do create from scratch ? and wheres the midi editor or is that dependent on the the DAW you work on .
maybe if I get a better understanding of this then I might invest on it as an option bc it is very reasonably priced to upgrade it rite now.

this is exciting af. yeah I think they sound digital and generic a little. not terrible but I can hear it. but this is just the beginning. they are still developing the store. I think this is a good starting point and shows a lot of promise. I'm definitely gonna check out the free version. I already have ezd2 and sd3. I also have slate trigger. so I don't necessarily need this but it could still be a strong tool to have nonetheless. as cheap as it is to get started I don't see why not purchase it.

Low on CPU, that’s what scared me, but it’s very good, similar to EZdrummer, maybe even better. And with EZdrummer your have to split all the track to make something good, so you have 3-4-5 more Vsti tracks to do to achieved something good.

@@SonicDriveStudio I already use other drum plugins. The point of my frustration was that ML makes extremely high quality products, and they’ve gone against the preset approach in the past with things like their Mikko plugins that basically let you mic a cab with no assistance. That’s the kind of thing I want to see. Take IK Multimedia’s Modo Drums. It’s a super in-depth granular plugin with full control over everything, including multiple different kinds of compressors, full variable control over drum tuning, shell type, dimensions, head type, etc. You get to exercise your full mixing abilities because there are no one knob compressors or anything like that. It’s all just properly designed tools laid out, and you handle the rest. _that’s_ the kind of product I was hoping this was.
Obviously you’re not in control of the products ML makes, but I figured I’d offer this explanation anyway.
