Flow Acrylic Painting: Black & White With Negative Space - How To Make a Fluid Painting

- Create a stunning black and white flow acrylic painting using the poured or fluid method where poured paint its directly applied to the canvas.
Here are the materials I used:
- Unprimed Tempered MDF Hardboard amzn.to/2qjWf9Q
[If you want to save a load of time and headache get ones that are already the pre-primed kind (like this: amzn.to/2qPd9k7) more expensive but much quicker to get started ]
- Daler Rowney White Acrylic Paint (available at many craft stores or on Amazon amzn.to/2qbBkKR)
- Black acrylic paint (just about any brand works but DO NOT use Apple Barrel!!! Folk Art amzn.to/2qgi2Ab is the cheapest I would go on this)
- Silicone Oil (available at many hardware stores or on Amazon amzn.to/2rzI9pm )
- Palette Knife, any kind will do and you can find it at any craft store or big box store in the craft section (this is a decent set - amzn.to/2qW7PKh)
Thanks for watching!

Black and White is so striking! Funky stories are always good! 🤙🏼🌺
Love your voice and your banter....really different painting. Love it!
I love weird stories too, so keep them coming!
You're one of the most entertaining artists to listen to while painting. subscribed.
I like weird story's and love your experiment with the paints thank you.
hahaha! Thanks! I'll bring up all my weirdest stories to accompany my painting! :)
I enjoy watching your work and the stories make it even better!
Thanks! I always wanted to be a stand up comedian. Maybe I'll do some of my routine while I paint. :)
I really enjoyed your demonstration. The way you talked me through your thinking and your "weird" story was nice. I'll definitely subscribe to learn more from you. Thank you for putting the time and effort to creating this video.
Thank you for THIS, right here! sooo much more technique, other than dump a bunch of paint on a canvas and tip it to the edges. This is insightful, takes experience and thoughtfulness to achieve a desired look. I will be referring to this later. BTW I loved the story and contrast. The silicone oil on white with color sounds like an amazing idea
(blushes) Well thank you!
I love your story, I do the same thing even today. I see little pictures in most everything. So please continue and I love how your Paint flow, keep it coming Leah !!!!!!!
More weird stories please! Love the black and white.
Thanks! I'll work on my story-telling-while-painting skills. :)

Howabout the time my awesome roommate found a snake in our pantry and got rid of it because we were all so squeamish. ;8

This is awesome! Im going to give your channel a shout out today. Thanks for the inspiration!
I love this whole video, but your Mark Twain story is amazing. I used to see goofy in a hospital ER curtain.
Haha! That's great!
I like stories. Videos with no commentary are hard for me to watch. I want to know what the artist is thinking and planning. I like your style.
Thanks Kandy! I've wondered if they are too long... Maybe I'll make a long version with my wacky stories and a speed version for others. :)
Flow Acrylic ùùùj
Unsure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but when you were talking about the ink blots, you were probably thinking of the Rorschach Test!

Yes on the weird stories, please!
You are awesome
LOVE IT❤️
I find that if I gesso a surface, that I need to lightly sand the surface before pouring for best fluidity in the pour fwiw.
Love the stories!
Does anyone else see a mountain at one angle and a wolf snarling at another when she first started spreading the paint?
I love all these interpretations! Thanks! It makes me want to do more B&W. :)
Don't forget the billy goat.
It's a komodo dragon right at the 6:02 mark.
Amazing way to create this paint!!
hahahaha your story about seeing faces was so funny. i see faces in everything!!!
We sure want to see the final dry art. If need be - add them onto later videos?
Love it
I love this!!! thank you! Defo keep the commentary in :-) could you give a little more information on the brand/type of of paints and how much silicone oil/ water to use?? Would be so helpful if you could xx
So fucking beautiful... the textures and shapes.... the movement... thank you for popping up in my recommended!!
I do the exact same with fabric btw (that 'weird story' haha).
Thank you for inspiring, I honestly haven't felt this good in a while :)

Nice!
I see a dragon in it. Thats so cool
Yes, please, wierd stories are awesome
Hi, love the video! Can you tell me what is the proportion/ratio of silicone oil to the watered down acrylic paint supposed to be?
Do you recommend one silicone over any other?
More weird stories! Yay
I've seen other tutorials using flow-something. Is it required, or do I just add water?
Is gesso like normal white paint?
more storys please
Haha! Thanks, I'm working on it!
What's the silicone for? What is it making with the color? Would love to know!
hi! i would like to ask if that's canvass? and what is do you call the liquid that's in the rectange container? thanks!
Masonite board is what I use. Silicone oil is what I use to create texture.
This is awesome! Also, what is the silicon oil for ?
It creates cells in the paint. :)
Do you have to use Acrylic?
Can you brush the acrylic gesso?
Do you sell these? I really feel drawn to this painting.
@7:02 I could see like a person on its knees. Do you see it?
Maira Gil Yep, I saw it too
6:00 it looks like a wolf
why not apple barrel?
What is gesso
5:38 looks like an angry duck lol
Are you going to leave the rest blank
Karin dogs, It's called negative space, that was her intent to have negative space.
How long is it to dry?
Answer pleaaasseeee
This is nice but do you know how much acrylic paint cost
You can get 2 oz. bottles at Wal-Mart for .50 cents or 8 oz. bottles at Hobby Lobby $9-$10.The better the paint, the better the outcome is what I've heard.Better pigments, tints and films etc...Creamier too.
My acrylic por makes cracks
6:31 I see a baluga whale
I think you should of used more paint
I want to see it dry
Yes! I need to show you since some are total disasters when dry. This one retained it's coolness though.
started off looking like a salmon...interesting!
haha! I'll have to look for that. :)
I just subscribed because of your weird pregnancy story!
