I do love Diane's singing. Thank you for posting the range details. But ultimately it is the music she creates, not just the notes. And she creates wonderful music.
Dianne said in an “ask Ex Libris video” that before her live shows she’ll figure out what her highest note and lowest note are going to be that night and she’ll warm up her voice to 2 notes higher and lower so it’s probably B2 - F#6.
I can not choose who has more powerful head voice: Dianne or Tarja? But the best is Dianne's upper belting and she should more use her chest voice and belt. I like this cold, steely quiality she has in her voice, it's just rarer like warmer "prettier" lyric voices we usually listen. She is probably spinto who is developing to dramatic soprano.
@@fleshgod9332 Yes. And I would classify Tarja like spinto soprano too. And I don't understand why she is not, cuz her voice has clearly characteristics of this voice type. She has bigger and darker voice like most full lyrics i have ever heard.
@@fleshgod9332 ruclips.net/video/qNq0mDQeu4A/видео.html Do you think she can sing like what now? It was not perfect. But there is no wobble on a long notes and wide sound. I wish she will return someday to herself.
I have a powerful head voice because I'm a dramatic soprano and a spinto soprano at the same time. I'm also a lyric soprano. I can belt in upper chest voice.
My favorite singer ever is Floor, and I love Aurora, Simone, Tarja and other magical voices but when it comes to opera Dianne is my favorite. Such strong voice and her vibrato in high notes is so incredible. Also Ex libris is much better than Xandria for me. Ann album is just masterpiece.
Dianne's head voice is something out of this world.

My highest note is E6. My lowest note is F#3. I won't sing B2. I won't sing F#6.
I'm inclined to think it's probably F6, but B2 sounds like a stretch. I know very few female singers that are capable of reaching that low.

I think Tarja has the overall better head voice. Probably the best head voice in the metal scene.

Diane is spinto.

The only metal singer that can actually sing opera.
One of the only ones.
Laura Macrí for example sings with MaYaN and she's an Opera singer (that's her profession).
Agreed, wish she was more popular her voice, theatrics and power are underrated.
@@mushroommagic1697 Same with Marcela Bovio, I'd say. They're both wonderful, and they're going to release a new song together soon.
Marcela doesnt sing opera

You've been pumping these out at an insane rate, and I am loving it. Thank you for these!
Dianne, Tarja and Vibeke; the Holy Trinity.
13:00 Where the Heart is Home by Xandria, not Ex Libris.
Dianne is an angel 😇

Try Vibeke Stene, she has amazing opera skills too. Ex Tristania and current Veil of Secrets.
So beautiful and talented!
the REAL metal OPERA
Such great videos, thank you for the effort! I hope to see Emma Zoldan from Sirenia and Vibeke Stene from Tristania and Veil of Secrets.
Awesome voice. I would love to hear Dianne, Tarja and Floor sing together. I bet that would be awesome.
What a voice.
Hearing Dianne voice in 2022…..when she was born in the USA, she was a worldstar. Happy for us she lives in Europe. What a singer.

She has an interesting voice - but high notes is "who killed a cat". Wish she could sing a great music.
