This may be the most ridiculous video that I have done to day but it's certainly been the most enjoyable / Experimental. While these carbon stress tests are meant to mimi the real world somewhat... they are certainly not scientific. Either way it's interesting to see how much punishment these carbon bars can take. It's equally as interesting to see how the aluminium bars compared to the carbon bars! If you guys like the video then I'll do more with other bike parts to see how much punishment thinks like forks and frames can take.

Not applying the proper carbon paste and over-torquing the stem is definitely how most carbon bars fail.

Nice video! Next time take some protective measures. You would have lost your hands, smashed your head or blinded yourself if any of those bars had snapped and the pulling gears came straight at you. Protective glasses, helmet and safe distance from destructive tests

Carbon generally fails with repeated compressive loading, causing delamination.

Sadly in a crash my carbon bars snapped in 2 so gone back to alloy
