I loved these videos! My favorite part about reefs is the plumbing and filtration ( aside for the corals and fish) the 3D model was very helpful showing all of the components. great job guys!

Incredible setup. I have a 420 gallon tank with a Reeflo Super DART/SNAPPER Gold Hybrid return pump. I am about to start the plumbing on this project and was considering going with Omni flex nozzles. My question is twofold; Should I go with the 1" nozzles over the 1.5" ones and how many returns should I go with. The tank is 7' long by 4' tall by 2' wide. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Seems like an awesome aquarium but the only problem I see is that it doesn't look well placed based on the little background we saw through the camera footage. Otherwise, awesome job! By the way, anyone know what software was used for those models? Looks pretty cool...

hi dave could you confirm the test results of the check valve on your return line... does it stop the water flow into the sump?

How much money did it take to complete. Also, how do I keep my 5.5 gallon tank cold, since I use ice cubes to keep them cold
Vivid, I know I am late but 2 questions. 1. Approximately, how many KWH per day, week, or month does this setup use? 2. I don't see any blue glue for the PVT connections. What do you use to glue them with? Amazing setup BTW.

Quick question - I am 5 months into a 187 gallon reef tank + 35 gallon sump. All high quality equipment (skimmer, two filter socks, biopellet, UV, etc.), spent like $15k on the set up. There is a tank at my LFS and the water is crystal clear, very little particles floating around. My tank is crystal clear, however, I have a ton of floating particles. I have used Clarity, Coral Snow plus changing out my filter socks every couple of days. Also tried feeding less, vacuumed the sump, etc. All of my parameters are perfect, however my ALK was at 7 (now at 8.2), and Calcium was high at 525. I am dosing less calcium and more alkalinity to see if that will get rid of the particles, since I think it is calcium buildup that is not being absorbed into the water. Thoughts on this? Advice on how to get rid of the particles? Thanks.

Can you show us inside the overflow boxes ? Want to see hight of the return pipes. Why not go with a Ca Reactor for such a big tank ?

Is this tank bare bottom now? And didn't it use to have a deep sand bed? why the change and have you seen any benefits?
great video! love the tank and the 3d images but would have preferred more actual footage of the filtration and plumbing ect. but nevertheless awesome tank. not many ppl in australia have setups as good as this!

One thing though, how do you control Nitrates?
I didnt see a refugium or Bio pellets...do you dose Vodka?
Our tank is not overstocked and we have a oversized protein skimmer. We have no trouble maintaining Nitrates and no need for Vodka (carbon dosing) or Bio pellets.

What is that series of white boxes across the top left of the back of the aquarium? Are those the ballasts for the lights?
Those are the ballasts for the Ecotech Radion LEDs

If you have to ask that, then you can't afford it.
What are the radion's lights set at?
These are the Gen 1 Radions.
Blues are at 80%
Whites at 70%
Green & Red at 15%

Hey Vivid, did any fish breed in the aquarium, sorry for my english im from Brazil, over here the lights from ecotech is too expensive. We need the companys who want to invest money in the hobby in here, nive work.
We have not had any fish breed in our 800 to date.
