Complicated, complicated and complicated! This is approaching a 3d drafting program like SolidWorks! And you uesed to think that operating a dozer didnt need higher education... This is a very nice cab though and sth like slope assist really makes sense
There’s no reason for high tech electronics in heavy equipment just more problems down time and repair. I don’t care what anyone says keep it simple stupid and machinery will run the way they should, moreover how much does all this tech cost anyway these machines are astronomical in price as it is now.
There’s really no reason to have machines to break down. We could use a slip and mules to move dirt. Or better yet sit at home and never worry about improving anything ever.
Strangefruit This type of improvement in is not an improvement in this case. If you know how to operate heavy equipment this technology is not necessary. Unless your the person paying for repairs to a system that is constantly breaking down then you wouldn’t understand. Technology has a place and we’ve all benefited like how we are communicating but it need not be in everything.
You have to pay to play. You save so much time using gps integrated machines it’s worth it. I do think in this day and age that everyone should be able to cut hubs without gps but you should also be looking into gps. When dozers came out I’m sure there were a lot of guys that had the same opinion in that they were too expensive but they still became commonplace. 20 years from now a guy probably won’t even be able to bid a job against someone using gps if they aren’t using it too.
Strangefruit OK sure but GPS can be a stand alone system for production not a built in computer running the tractor.connected to every system, that’s what I’m talking about.
Been operating a new D6 xe for a few days now and I really like it. Awsome cab and the GPS is indispensable
That's cool as hell BUT I wanna see it in 3 years after hard use lol
It's a cat 30 years
3 years you don't know your stuff?
Hey scott 😏 how do you like all these fancy settings anyway?how much you use em?
CAT D 6XE, Nice thenk...
I know there is many configurations but what’s the price of a fully loaded D6XE and do they give you a full
Tank of diesel ?

I strongly prefer Komatsu’s intelligent machines over the Cat machines
