Had a blast Jim, always a pleasure to sit and chat, this one just happened to be recorded! Thank you
You’re welcome Chris. I had a blast hanging out and sitting down for this chat man. Much appreciated.
I almost became a blacksmith when I left school, but my dad went out of his way to persuade me to go into engineering instead. 45 years later, I wish I had stuck to my guns and been a smith. My great grandad was a blacksmith in County Waterford, Ireland over 100 years ago. Great interview Jim.
Jim, your podcast gives me a breath of sanity when im stuck at my desk in the office doing nothing. Thank you again for the excellent content.
cool live chat, down to earth and refreshing
Another great podcast. Each episode has me glued to the TV. You have a knack for scouting interesting lifestyles.
Much appreciated!! Glad you like it and thanks for watching
Jim! Love ya bud but why do you always upload these right before the hockey game? 😂 just kidding man gunna watch this one in a couple hours 👍👍
I enjoyed this Jim! My way of thinking... simplicity!
Glad you liked it!
You always get the most talented speakers (and they are always so nice). Talented people don't have to show off.
Well thanks very much and that is true about talented people from my opinion.
Very interesting guest and chat ...thank you both ..
You’re welcome!
This has been absolutely interesting. Thank you for a great podcast, Jim❤
You’re very welcome!
Oh awesome - I remember the video where you and a buddy travel down the magnetawn hitting some rapids before stopping off at this guy's place? Love the podcasts and huge Baird family fan...
For those who don't know, the Baird Brothers represented Canada and won season 4 of Alone! Don Cherry voice* GREAT CANADIAN KIDS 😅
Haha, love it and I tried harder for Canada!! That’s the same blacksmith too. I solo canoes down to his place last year as well.
Great episode... these are the ones I enjoy the most, the guys with the new stories I haven't heard
Thank you, will check it out.
Interesting listening to this Jim
We have Ironwood trees in our bush
My husband had a baseball bat made for our kids to practice with That wood is so heavy
You get quite the swing with that
Great interview
Jim I always like to watching you, special this video talking about blacksmith my dad was blacksmith.
Very cool to hear, thanks
Walking along the trails in Quetico was an experience. To know the history of travelers and to stand where Paul Cane painted. We were awe struck. They have found so many tools and pipes in that area. So interesting
Definitely interesting to me as well.
Thanks Jim, for this very interesting video. Your guest was great!
Much appreciated!
Thanks Jim, I appreciate the conversation and it was very informative and interesting! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯
What a great share my family is all loggers from the Columbia River on up to Vancouver
On my way, thank you
There it is again.... procrastination is foreplay leading to regret. ... same lesson seems so reoccurring for me right now
Inspiring conversation, something about the simplified life really struck a chord with us! And my husband has a Hudson Bay axe he can't live without. That and his Cold Steel knives 😊
Nice! Well I’m glad you found it engaging. Sounds like your husband is a solid dude lol!
Fantastic conversation thank you!
You’re welcome!
Another interesting guest
I have a Boy Scout ax. Pretty heavy, but nicely balanced. I was told the Boy Scouts were test groups for equipment. I'd like your thoughts.
Great interview Jim altough I may be a little bias on this one having grown up in the Parry Sound area. Looking forward to reading Waub's books this summer when spending time camping on Georgian Bay.
👍🏻 nice chat
Hello
Hello
Jim, I have thought of some merch ideas for you. A book accompanied with a DVD
Sing along with Jim
😁
I feel like I hit the notes pretty well there right! Haha
Does Chris have a RUclips channel? I would like to see more of his lifestyle, blacksmith works, etc.
Enjoyed the podcast 👍
He does, it’s CJ Johnston Blacksmith
Would be happy to have you come over to the channel and check things out!
So are you two going to do a canoe trip together?
Maybe!
Curious what happened to your brother?
I enjoy your show topics. Each time I “scrolled” forward and stopped to listen to the guest, it’s Jim Baird talking. I enjoy listening to Jim but when he has a guest I do wish he would keep his comments/stories shorter in order to hear more from that guest.
$500,000 get back there before they catch you eating steak
Jim, what kinda peanut hawk are you, arent you zuppose to be on vancover island, oh what have you done to yer brother.
