I watched with my bloke who has never seen Inside number 9 & was genuinely taken in by the dodgy gameshow. So funny watching him shout answers out & call the contestants thick.
Hold On Tight was an amazing episode, loved the smut, the puns, the Askwith appearance, the subplot with the "black forest gateau", and the bold decision to do the whole episode bottomless. 9 out of 9 stars, would watch again!
I was genuinely gutted the ep never aired - I saw the promo screenshot and that Askwith was in it, and was looking forward to it. I hope they release it.
Reece & Steven can do no wrong in my eyes. I am merely witness to the glorious outpouring of creative minds...most certainly not to stand in judgement. I just wish Margaret & Catherine characters had been cast appropriately....both eclipsed the unique plot with their overly obvious acting style. The others did a grand job. Its a shame...something that could have been easily corrected with a quick recast of 2 characters.
Personally, I've watched all the old On The Buses episodes and would have LOVED to see a remake, even if it was just a parody. Sadly, this prank only made me want to see the REAL BUS EPISODE, which doesn't actually exist! One big tease!
Steve and reece have to make a remake of on the buses, it will be hilarious. Just the small clip at the end of season nine had me in fits, especially Steve and his jack teeth😂😂
I really enjoyed the episode, but I can understand why others wouldn't. I did enjoy your perspective. I agree that people focus too much on the setting and the twist. I think issues with episodes like Last Gasp and the Harrowing are not the twists themselves, but the pacing of them, and I think that's partially because we expect the twist so close to the end of the episode. This is the only episode I've seen outside of series 1, as I've only just started. When you've finished talking about series 8, I'd really appreciate it if you went back to the beginning and reviewed the rest of the series. Subbed!
