He did such great Job Low Honour Arthur is also great.
RDR II is such a powerful reminder how well written tragedy (and I meant the literary genre of tragedy) can stay with us. It leaves you hollow, but there is something beautiful and meaningful about that hole it left in your heart.

First time I've seen Arthurs last ride screwed up and I have seen a lot, got to admit it was fuuny tho. 🤣
When I played and Arthur died, I couldn’t see myself playing as John so I stopped at the start of the epilogue. Took about a week break before I decided to jump back in and give it a try. The epilogue was quite long and definitely worth finishing. Also, the credits at the end shows some clips you won’t want to miss. Thanks for the upload. I really enjoyed watching this whole episode. Your tears, our entertainment 🤣
I've played another 2k hours with Arthur, before I ever played the epiloge and saw the end of the game.
I think it also was the only time I finished it in about 5k hours! 😂

When you first found Princess, it was amazing to see how strongly you bonded with her. It was at that moment, I knew we were f****d. Arthur is feeding her sugar lumps in heaven now. RIP.
I love how things came full circle in this game! At the beginning Arthur was reluctant to go save John when he was attacked by those wolfs and in the end he used his last bit of time on this Earth to save John and his family.
Actually unbelievable how you lost that moment with Arthur, I have no idea how that even is possible or how you did it. Unreal

there's a couple different endings, depending on arthurs honor and if he went back for the money. And the horse is why everyone said wait till epilogue to get Buell. The good thing is Princess will respawn where you caught her. and John starts out with a thoroughbred named Rachel

It is very sad and funny that in the last part where they flee from the Pinkerton's, Mica and Duch there's Eralia feeding and healing princess saying that "I don't care about me, i just want princess to be okay" and then just BOOM, DEAD.

I don't think anyone sane likes war, Eralia. Not when they see it up close and personal, and the aftermath.
We may need to be the best we can be at it so as few as possible mess with us...but I don't know anyone who encountered action in real-life who wanted war.

Like you, I was devastated when I lost my horse. I played this game like I was in this world myself.
I spent literal months hunting for game, doing side missions, treasure hunting, eating meals at saloons, searching for bounties, looking for plants and animals to observe, bird-watching, and just overall exploring, seeing what adventure I would get into next with Arthur Morgan.
But my boy Boris was always at my side, always there to help when he needed to. Always bucking off a thief, eating a carrot or two, getting a nice grooming or makeover, because I cared for that horse.
And when they killed him, I was a teary eyed mess. Because I felt like I actually bonded with him and Arthur, and they were inseparable.
Right until the end for both of them.
I needed a break after this mission, and didn’t play the prologue for a good 2 weeks.
It’s amazing what good storytelling and gameplay can achieve, and because of that, I’ll never forget this game with its cinematic achievements that can rival any modern show or film.
Easily my favourite game of all time, in regard to a narrative/immersion level.
i feel you literally today i was playing(first time) and when they killed mack i paused the game for an hour before i could return to it
first time i don’t see someone bawling their eyes out during arthur’s last breaths…… the emotional acknowledgment of it was pure awe; sometimes you can’t cry, can’t speak, can’t NOT cry, that scene brings out the most surreal emotions out of people
i had no tears left. it was such a beautiful moment, sharing our last breaths with arthur. ♥

It's impossible not to cry at the end of chapter 6. You can be an Outlaw with years of experience playing this game, and it still hits you hard.

My friend spent so much time finding the best horse in the game he could find only for it to be force killed at the end. He was furious. I on the other hand had such bad luck with the horses I think I went through at least three so when that ending happened I just sighed.
lol The moment we all waited for her to get to, And she runs off the road. I guess the black cat really crossed the road on that one.
I know some might think this trivial compared to the entire story...but I've always appreciated how good a job Eralia took care of Princess ❤

I'm so happy you are continuing thru the epilogue - some playthroughs don't include this part, and in my opinion it's the most important part of the game. John's life now may seem mundane, especially in these first few moments as him, but we've been with him and experienced what he has experienced. We know that mundane is the exception, not the norm, for him, and it is what he and Abigail have wanted so desperately for so long. Every moment he and his family have from now on is a gift, bought with Arthur's blood. John is Arthur's living Redemption, and everything he does is informed by that. It's a beautiful thing. Let's see what he does with it.

The timing of feeding the horse so it's okay just before it happens... man, that was rough.
The ending is very sad in Red Dead Redemption 2, I also had a tear when I saw that moment 😭

Hey eralia, did you know every cutscene was motion capture with real people? When arthur died and was there on there ground, the real actor of dutch was crying thats why he took 5-6 takes of this one and walked backwards in this one moment! 👍🏻

Everytime I see Arthur dying is the worst and saddest😢 I cry so much over and over I olay the game, specially when mission comes where I know that I get the TB from trying to avoid it but saddly not podsible.
You won't regret playing the epilogue, trust us rdr community. Love seeing you playing this game and getting so emotional about it so as we did.

The horse and then Arthur’s last breath completely ruined me. I played this religiously when it first dropped 5yrs ago and am on my 5th playthru rn. As weird as it feels not playing as Arthur anymore, I hope you still grow to like John. :)

2:03:18 earlier in the game, one of the ambient conversations you can have in the camp, with the gang, is about how they would like to die.
Arthur says "Just stick me on a hill somewhere facing the sun."
These games were phenomenal. I can't wait to see the Epilogue playthrough. It leads directly into the original RDR.

I don't think aurthur was embracing his fragile masculinity. He's been steadily feeling more and more worthless as he became sicker and sicker. His entire life he was raised as one thing; an enforcer. A gun for the gang. That's all he knows. Not only is the gang falling apart at that point, he's also becoming significantly less efficient at the only thing he's ever been good at his entire life.
Anyone in his position would feel equally frustrated and upset.
When my horse died I cried for a solid 20 minutes. I was sobbing for the last hour straight basically LOL

@@jensherbst740 I've finished the game several times on PS4. You can only press X to accelerate, the steering is done by the game. Now maybe on earlier versions you could steer, I played the game years after it came out and there are differences between the launch game and what we have now. Finally, if you want to keep arguing about this, find someone else to waste your time with, friend. I couldn't care less about continuing this conversation with you.

She had a loooot of time to come to terms with Arthur's condition, and the idea of his eventual passing. And not to psycho-analyze too much, but I imagine being part of the military you train to cope with human death. Now the death of beloved animals, relationships, and hats? Maybe not so much hahaha

RDR2 is the the closest thing to literature any game has ever gotten and I'm prepared to die on that hill. I was literally weeping all over again right there with you Eralia! The grief mingled with anger, the moments of sacrifice and determination among the real ones in the gang, all the memories experienced in this world, it leaves a mark like no other. Have fun in the epilogue and explore the world again to see what's changed, and see places you never got to in the main chapters. There are still surprises and more to come! Outlaws for life!

FYI, the deaths are a combination of animation and physics, using the 'Euphoria' engine. That's why they're all different. It's something Rockstar added to their own game engine (RAGE) starting with GTA IV.
I've only just clicked over but I HAD to say, I've been looking forward to, and dreading, this moment in equal measure. It's SUCH a powerful ending...
I've just got to the epilogue section of the video, and I had to say, I'm not at all mad about you falling off Princess on your way back to camp, but I AM a bit sad that it cut the song short. There were so many callback lines from people you've helped throughout the game that you missed out on hearing during the song...I haven't hit the end of the video itself yet so I apologise if you've addressed this already, but I hope you do play through the whole epilogue for us, there are some AMAZING things to do and see if you're of a mind to explore again...

Yeah like she went from over the top sad to instantly normal which didn't feel very genuine, and how she screwed up the ending. I could be wrong but maybe she lost some of her emotional investment to this game when she started playing mass effect more.

Oh, you aren't even close to the end yet. The Epilogue accounts for about 1/6-1/5 of the whole game. It is pretty long and covers a lot. You have at least two or three more episodes... maybe as many as five before you reach the "end" (even after you complete all parts of the story the game is then just free roam to allow completion of side quests, compendium quests, challenges, etc). Then, of course, you have Red Dead Redemption 1 which is a sequel (or RDR2 is a prequel to the original RDR). This game has the better story, but that doesn't mean the first RDR was bad, and is definitely worth playing if you want more of the story.
