- Having used arguably the worst gun that Borderlands two has to offer for a challenge run, I thought I'd try my hand at something a bit more legendary. While the Deliverance isn't as iconic, it holds a special place in my heart for the fact that I think Tediore reloads are a fun way to play the game. It being a more usable weapon though, I of course had to compensate via some added difficulty.
It's a bit outside of how I usually set up my runs, so if this is something you'd prefer to see when revisiting the game, feel free to let me know. It was a lot of fun, and didn't require any time spent grinding for a change. If not, well... That's also fair, and the comment section is in the same place either way. I won't stop ya.

i cant stop laughing at how goofy Sal looks while throwing his guns XD Salvador was truly the coolest choice for this run and you never fail to impress!
And if I do get around to Gunerang, it's almost definitely going to be Sal again! Though granted, Axton might be able to make better use of the reload. It's absolutely the bullet regen that I'm after.

3:39 "where x is equal to f-all" I love this, it was perfect. I was so intrigued, bc after hearing you do really impressive math like with the agonizer car in bl3, I was genuinely curious as to the number, but alas I was splashed with cold water in the funniest way possible.
For what would typically just be a silly challenge run of a video game I must say you have a way about sneaking in that positivity you so clearly yearn to share with others. That is sadly a quality that can be rare to come by these days so I very much respect that about you. I have no doubt that you have and will go on to touch many peoples lives in a way that they themselves will go on to pass on to others. Keep spreading the love

If you're looking for another weird/niche weapon challenge run for this game, how about "Can you beat Borderlands 2 from very far away?" aka using only the God Finger, a weapon whose gimmick of becoming more powerful, the further the target is away is entirely hampered by the fact that enemies in this game typically don't spawn in until you're close, meaning if you wanted to use the God Finger optimally, you would have to first run in to trigger all of the spawns, and then make like the brave Sir Robin and run away...

Vault Hunter exe is incredibly powerful when you ponder on it for just a tiny bit. Except for maybe the gunzerker and suicide bomb modes.

Spuddy you have really really grown into your style well. I have been watching pretty much every one of your videos on repeat, to help sleep, to help lonely times, to clear anxiety. The way you handle the videos is entertaining both not looking and looking. @@battletechpropaganda he explains it best in the video maybe it simply doesn’t suit them anymore maybe that name no longer represents them. Maybe the name has emotional baggage tied to it that they want to let go. Maybe they simply wish to do so on a whim to try something different. Maybe their name causes discomfort for whatever reason and that’s why they want to change it.

And sometimes people just don’t like their name anymore and doesn’t feel like it’s fits who they are and simply want to change to something they see as more suitable.
If it helps at all, imagine you woke up and suddenly everyone called you something outlandish regardless of how you feel. As far as everyone's concerned, that's your name now. That's... not going to sit well with most folks. I know of a good number of people that would hate to be called something like Delilah. It's a beautiful name, but it's not for everyone. Other people may be fine with it, but hate to go by something like Maximus. You're typically assigned a name at birth, but it's incredibly easy to go by something else.
For some people, the name is simply wrong. A lot of people discover more about their gender and feel more comfortable with a name more closely associated with that. Growing up with religious trauma, someone may find that they don't want to be forever tied to an ideology that hurt them. In that way, it can be imagined like a tattoo you didn't ask for being put on your face for the world to see. It can hurt pretty badly for some folks. There is also just the case that some people don't like what they have. You could happily live the rest of your days as something like Dave or Larry, but what if you just wanted a little more spice in your day to day life and wanted to go by something more fantasy inspired like Proxx? Maybe less commonly, there are just bad names. There was a young boy named Loser. A young girl named Chlamydia... I really don't think they should have to keep those.
At the end of the day, names are kinda arbitrary, and all of them are made up. So even if you don't understand why someone would or wouldn't want the one that they have... if it makes them happy, why not?

i've recently started watching your streams but i do have to say that i love your videos. I love your energy and the way you describe things and how you end your videos always leaves me with a smile on my face
always looking forward to your videos. cool challenge with an indomitable attitude towards it. and the constant jokes make it hit harder when you start talking about positivity. the perfect combination that makes any day great, just by seeing a new video from you.
I will tell you this much; if you do a Gunerang only playthrough, buy plenty of Ibuprofen, water, and possibly have a comfort animal nearby, because it is a thoroughly infuriating experience. I would not say I was a purist with the run, I allowed myself certain workarounds (and eventually certain grenades/other damage sources because my patience having worked as a music teacher to hyperactive children is significant but not infinite) but I tried to stay true to it, and there were certain fights... you could probably guess which ones... that took me several day's worth of efforts. A double-digit percentage of time I have spent playing BL2 is probably lost forever into the gelatinous cesspit that was my Gunerang run. It would make the Deliverance look like the smiling countenance of a benevolent bearded deity, reaching down through the clouds to hand you an ion cannon with which to smite thy enemies with ease.
It was reasonably fun at certain points. I would not do it again for a first edition, autographed score of the Mahler 5 (the 8 or 9 I'm much more amenable to though.)

As someone who has had legal problems with mail tampering(family opened a package and we had a long conversation about it and it’s contents that was none of their concern or business). It didn’t end well and I had to go to court for that crap. As for the name change talk,it’s surprising why people don’t think of doing it regardless of who you are. It’s there to make it so you feel comfortable with your name or easier for people to say it or write/type it if you have a name that’s hard to pronounce or just has any number of reasons that make it uncomfortable or in a negative way to you so you can legally change it on contracts and other legal documents. It’s like 200-300 bucks fee but it’s a lot of paperwork. I would recommend going by your chosen name as a nickname for awhile before you change it and that’s legal to do on anything short of legal documents or interactions with government officials like police or the like. It’s how I figured out my chosen name vs my birth/given name.

What makes this run even funnier is that people have very recently found a glitch to allow you to transfer the damage of a badaboom onto your deliverance making it stupid strong . I believe Joltz uploaded a vid on it a week ago.
This was my fist grind weapon. When I first discovered yoteslaya I saw the deliverance video and thought it was so cool to shoot and home on enemies. This video gives a nostalgia overload.

From what I've heard, if any one of its kind is going to do so, it's going to be the Gunerang. I'm not sure why, but... it'll probably come back to me.
And I'm really glad that I could help! Seeing the people around me get theirs changed and seeing just how happy it's made them has been a phenomenal experience. It does make things like mail and various documentation a bit of a pain for a while, but the joy they've felt since, I think was worth it.

I am excited for my name change. I lack the money or time line for it... But once the name is changed it will be my name and will be true to me and my life, I think that is what matters with a name, it being true to you.

As much fun as the run was for me, I would hate to just give you a headache (or worse) trying to watch.
24:00 Makes me think, for a while the reason I did challenge runs was just because I wanted a new way to play a favorite game, but as the time goes on it’s evolved into wildly more outlandish ways to beat regular games, so my personal reasons for doing challenge runs is “just to see if I can”.
As a good a reason as any. For all of the more complex reasons, there's a certain beauty to simplicity of just saying "Bring it on."
Another reason I was bouncing around for a while is that always being strong, always using the best of the best equipment, it just gets boring. But that kinda makes me sound like an ass and I don’t fully believe it, sometimes you just want that power fantasy.

Yeah, but _I_ wasn't dealing the damage. Otherwise most of the NPC sections become more or less impossible.

hey I have a class mod like that lol. it's just so fun. I think most people have a couple extra inventory items to swap out at any given time, fun to swap builds and try to be diverse rather than focus on one thing. both methods work though. you take less L's by diversifying your skills though, into redundancy
having only played like 4 hours of this game it's hard to comprehend all this stuff going on. I should try playing it again.

You gotta retry this with the new found deliverance glitch, its honestly fun af and makes this setup somewhat viable
So uh... funny thing about the Deliverance... there's been a new discovery. you can launcher damage swap with it, but only with the Badaboom. Imagine if you knew that when you were recording this run...
As cool as it is, both as a bug and the fact that we're still finding new things, I feel like swapping to a Badaboom isn't really within the spirit of things.

Should have waited a week for people to find the deliverance damage swap glitch. An empty rocket launcher can’t deal damage but it sure as hell can make the deliverance melt every enemy in the game.

I have! I've personally only played as far back as Gen U, (and as far forward as Sunbreak) but I adore the franchise. The problem in theory comes from just how long the games are. There is at least one that I want to try for Rise, but I'm not sure if it stands a chance of even scratching Master Rank.

I genuinely wonder how much of a difference B.A.R makes that all these challenge runs always have them disabled.
In theory, BAR only stops going up when there's an integer overflow. It works out to ludicrously high damage buffs and reload speeds fast enough for you to not be able to see the animation. Of course, nobody has ever reached those numbers, but they're theoretically possible, so where does one draw the line? The simplest answer is to just not allow it at all. It also makes it more fair for anyone new wanting to come into the series to show off what they can/can't do.

you gain BAR over time, so i played a lot but not to OP10 and the most end bosses and mine is at most stats at +15 or 20%, but challenge runners play more that i did so can have it at 30% at many stats or higher. so 30% more damage is a lot, but then also 30% more crit damage on top of that and 30% more fire rate and reload time and it gets strong.
Great run, though I'm surprised you didn't just bind grenade across the keyboard for this run
The problem is that I _really_ wanted to, but I play on controller, and rebinding that gets weird.
@@SpuddyCubeOh, I see. I figured You'd have been playing on KB & M, but that's my mistake. There's somewhat cheap (like 30 bucks) xbox controllers you can buy that have rebindable extra buttons. I think the brand is PowerA? Maybe that'll help you if you wanna look into it.

Name assigned at birth? As a person who has named four of what I assume are humans [teenagers, am I right?], that name is not an easy thing to come up with, none were assigned at birth all took a large amount of time and multiple discussions. Yep some arsehole parents choose bullshit names for the lols but for some of us, most of us, a lot of thought is put into it. Apologies, rant over and keep up the good work.

Honestly, it's not as bad as I expected. It's definitely ridiculous for what is most likely the average player. The gear grinding along the way is also a bit obnoxious, but it could have been a lot worse.

I'm not sure! I noticed that sometimes it'd to a crazy amount of damage all at once, and then just... not for a while. It was probably worth testing, but I think I'm long past that stage.

I tend to just enjoy the simplicity that comes with the style of ruleset. Gray areas get a lot harder to explain and follow.
