To me... it is the purest artistic expression of the divine masculine and feminine I've ever seen. He creates a completely safe and secure space for her to be completely wild and free, and he moves her to be. She surrenders, to her own limitless power of movement and his channeling of that energy. It goes so far beyond the individual for me that it doesn't feel like I'm peeking in on something intimate, but rather... like I'm watching a prayer that belongs to everyone.

Today I found out this song was written because of the eviction of James Price Point protest camp. This song has always brought back memories for me of being evicted from a treesit in Belgium. We got taken out of the trees, despite years of protest and an ancient forest died that day... For that reason I have cried several times to this song, because it reminded me so much of being torn away from that heartfelt connection to the land. And now I find out that the part which made me cry so much was written because of a similar eviction happening across the planet. It all makes so much sense and the tears of grief are flowing again. The earth speaks through us, if we but listen. And your dance performance reminded me of that as well, like the earth was speaking through your dance.

Thank you for sharing this. I feel this dance represents how an extractivist culture treats the feminine [Mother Earth, body territory]. She is treated like a doll to play with, no feminine consciousness of the inner rythm, which is silenced by the pressure to perform as impactful as possible... I do not like this way of treating the female body. It is a huge trend though, the more you make her look like an object with no inner will/own direction/intention, that just follows what the male has to show, the better the acceptance of the show... specially if it is fast and risky. This had me in utter tears this was so beautiful. Her fluid movements reminded me so much of air and water, so graceful and free-flowing. Seeing this sort of connection and intimate, sensual beautiful dancing always sets me to tears and moves my heart so much. I could watch this again and again. And dancing to one of my favorite songs, heavens this was so so beautiful.
