i forgot to mention the lack of lobbies in the game, i have no idea how they didn’t add online lobbies man. and to be clear, i love this game, and love mortal kombat. I’m here to just point out some issues i feel are genuinely unacceptable for a game I’m passionate about.
I wish they put in preset options when selecting your character so you can choose your certain look etc. Even for cameos. Like mk11 as you had presets for your variations but also was a selection for your personal skin look.
Agreed. While I think it very likely will get added in with a patch in the near future, that still doesn't excuse the fact that this is a basic feature that should have been available at launch. Every single Netherrealm game up to this point has had some kind of option to select different skins or at least preset variants from the character select screen. Yeah, I agree, its fun sometimes just to randomly switch up your character's look.
I’m kind of on a break from the game. Haven’t played in about a week, due to Invasions freezing mid match in Mesa 2. I’m not an online type of player, so I’m not really concerned with that part of the game, but I got a bit turned off from playing once the Invasions things happened. This is the thing that has finally taught me to not prepay for games anymore. Just get like a let down to see all this nice promo, and then the launch experience was just not worth getting the preorder. 🙇🏾♂️ Also wanted to add, I think the game is pretty flat after the story mode is done and you Local Towers yourself into slight boredom. I think the whole idea of Invasions also gets stale (even with the Ambush feature). The game could do with more supplemental modes like Create a Kombatant, return of Chess Kombat, maybe a Khronicles Mode where you can play special ladders that focus on the origins of the fighters; could come with cutscenes just like ladder endings in between checkpoints, and you can gain higher XP and special legacy gear skins not included in the Mastery chain…
I'm gonna be honest, I've been having a lot of fun with this game even with all of the issues, I don't care about the wrong frame data, not about the brutality inputs being wrong, the loss of pinning moves to the screen is annoying but not that big of a deal although I do want it back, the player one advantage has been patched (I don't know for sure, Ed boon tweeted about it so it could also be fixed later), the black screen freezing is annoying and definitely needs to be patched but still even with all the shit I've been having a blast

I don't want to be online ... so no invasion or whatever it's called, only story and fighting towers , havoc and most cameos are locked indefinitely oh and also all other skins ... By the way, if I'm not mistaken, the P1 advantage has nothing to do with what side you're on. P2 has less combo potential on either side, whereas P1 can do everything on either side.

The PC stuttering/frame dropping in story/invasion and online play is crazy bad. I have zero interest in picking the game back up until that gets fixed. I barely made it through the story mode smh.

Replays are broken too. Normal speed playback is actually 2x, 0.5 playback speed is normal, and playback speed 2x is actually 0.5. Not a huge issue, but could be annoying to people who like watching high level sets.
it’s almost baffling the amount of tiny bugs like this there are. it wouldn’t be that bad if there were a few, but there’s such an overwhelming amount it becomes annoying.
Everyone keeps trying to copy Fortnite and fails miserably! All of a sudden every game wants a Battle pass but the items are not worth it, everyone wants a rotating shop and yet don’t bother to place actual useful skins or items in the rotation. I absolutely hate when devs only copy the egregious greedy practices but not what makes every game fun.

I think this game was extremely rushed and was a cash grab for wb. In my honest opinion it's the worst my game from 9 and up. I'm honestly considering there next installment I will wait next time for it to go on sale. I won't be pre ordering anymore.
I know Cyberpunk is not a fighting game but kinda reminds me of the first time Cyberpunk 2077 released with the bugs and stuff and maybe if we got a training mode in the beta some of this promblems could have been fixed.
Mk being the laughing stock of fighting games is kinda crazy considering it has the most consistency and largest fanbase from what i know. Sfv and Tekken 7 damn near died twice and sf6 is already losing steam

As someone whose favorite Fighting game Franchise (DOA) is actually regarded as a laughing stock despite being an Amazing game. Mk is no where near that and is actually held to the most standards and is thee standard for modern fighting games to this day. When we talk about the top dogs of Fighting games the first 2 that always show up is Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, more than even Tekken. It’s unfortunate MK1 released unfinished and I’ve been saying this from the jump that MK1 should have been delayed ever since the first trailer with a release date. I just knew it was too good to be true. But I will not take the insult of Mk being held as a joke or laughing stock. I don’t know where you got that from but that ain’t it. No other Fighting game can pull off or even pull an Omni Man or Homelander like let’s be fr, this is a bad look right now but the game is most definitely fun and I would kill for the DOA franchise to even get half of the attention the MK franchise gets and continues to get.
Are all the gear pieces and skins totally random when it comes to unlocking, or is it always in the same order for one character, another order for a different character, or do you have to do certain challenges to get certain pieces?

I couldn't even watch my favorite content creator play MK1, it is so completely unlike MK in almost every single way that I just couldn't handle it. It feels like they wanted to make a different game but keep the MK gore. The only MK game I have ever seen that I have literally no interest in.

I’ve only experienced one glitch in invasions besides that the game has been pretty stable for me, but I know everybody’s experience is different.
I'm so glad I decided to wait on this game. I'll wait for kombat pass 1 to drop hopefully I could get a good deal

In terms of the shrine? Random. but through mastery and invasions I’m pretty sure those are specific.

unfortunately no there isn’t. you have to just follow the green paths until they turn blue and you beat everything.
