The bender seems to require a lot of muscle. Over time I can see some injuries. Would it be of benefit to you to add a longer handle to get some torque? I think if I were to purchase something it would be a press with the dies, etc., purchased separately.
You should buy a bench shear because it gives a 90% straight cut with out bending the edge of whatever metal you cut , unlike the bolt cutter which is clumsy to use and bends the edge of metals that is cut ,after using a bench shear you wont want to use a bolt cutter again 👍
I've seen some bolt cutters that are 24inches long, they seem really big but the guy selling them said smaller ones wouldn't work? Is this true? Yours look small I think?
You can’t anneal silver-plated cutlery, only solid silver. Unless you don’t mind burning off all your silver plating and just being left with a base metal ring. 😳
this video was beyond helpful! Thank you so much.

This was very helpful. Thank you!
I appreciate the response!
never used one but l am pretty sure if you extended the arm on the bender, it would give you more leverage and make it easier on you....
thank u for this

Honestly it really is not that hard to pull. This was the best investment ever. I have a press and dies but this is super simple to use.
@@cajunsuggies132 So you have already purchased a press and this is better, okay good to know. Thanks.
Does the pepe tool ring bender ever get easier to do.. i’m struggling with my strength lol to bend the silver plated spoons.
I’ve learned to use my harbor freight mallet and whack the handle to move the metal to it’s fullest!
@@cajunsuggies132 check my statement extend the bar, hope this makes it easier for you Ladies
good job

Got mine at harbor freight and they are the smaller ones. Works just fine!
@@cajunsuggies132 thank you, what size are they please?
So you can't use stainless Steel?
You "can" but not on the bender..it will certainly damage it.
Aren't you supposed to anneal it first before bending so it doesn't crack?
With the silver plated rings it really isn’t necessary. I also find the discoloration it makes annoying to cleannup and I’ve never had one crack.

Get a DREMEL - you can cut it the flatware well with that! & drill holes if need be!
I have since then purchased and enjoyed using a dremel set up!
The jaws on your bolt cutter are ragged - need reshaping and sharpening.
I have since bought a new pair
badly made ... i've done thousands better facebook forks to jewellery
Sorry you feel that way. I had fun making the video and hope it helped others.
