I love judo highlights and his commentary but so true haha if it's hashimoto he's playing the shido game, if it's the judo god takanori nagase it's a top tier strat
so you imply in this video that Nagase's 30 years of age is old, and in a previous video you said 26 years is young, so what do you think the prime age for judo is?
I think I said ‘young’ as in ‘still young’. My experience is 21-28 are your prime years and then it’s downhill. Quicker for some. Most Japanese retire at 22 as they join the workforce and have no way to maintain peak condition. It’s very very rare to see people over 30 doing well in judo.
Nagase is from Tsukuba. However, given that the Japanese tend to universally use 2-3 hour randori sessions it is likely more a Japanese thing in general.
I think Nagase might win a bronze medal at Paris but I don't see him winning gold/silver. It's probably gonna be Tato vs Lee at the finals for gold. Nagase is still a top 10 player at 81kg but he's clearly past his prime and Tato/Lee seem to be a step ahead of everyone else at 81kg right now.
@@ignaciopaskevicius9050 Nagase's resurgence at the Olympics was a pleasant surprise, it seemed based on the last 2 years he had been falling off in his performance. It's like he went back in time by 4 years.
fantastic judoka i love!
As a favorite judoka ... count me in too ! Cheers ...
Смотреть японское дзю до - одно удовольствие, особенно Nagase.
Thank you
Nagase and that ashi guruma for daysssss
Fantástico esse Takanori Nagase ❤. Ele gritando antes do confronto ❤❤❤
Шедевральные броски мистер Нагасе!
So buying shidos is a 'high level strategy' when your favourite judoka does it? haha
Touché
It's called 'Okii Brain Time' in Japanese, you wouldn't get it...

There are 2 people in the match, if you aren't fighting hard enough and let them play that game you also have some responsibility.
judo textbook, i want to emulate
5:02
Why nobody mentions 5:02?
Nagase is the best as judo-ka
Albayrak has lost to him a lot. I think it was his frustration boiling over - a bit childish.
Albayrak is georgian but he competes for the turkish national team he has also competed for the greek national team with the name roman moustopoulos
he converted to Islam I guess
As you can see it by his neanderthlian behavior, maybe he did 😂
@@greyfox3954 may Allah show you the beauty of Islam brother.
Was this the last time we would see him before Paris? He is not going to the world championships at Abu Dhabi this year?
I don’t think you will see any of the Japanese Olympic team at the world championships
@@JudoHighlights2015 what a bummer! 😔

Is good stamina a tenri thing? I see maruyama, ono, nagase and yamato have really good condition.
i mean, if you do a lot of randoris every day for a couple of years, u´ll get good stamina
I think it’s a Japanese thing

Drapeau will beat Nagase the next time they meet, he is a nemesis. Casse now has Nagase's number too, too bad he didn't fight in this tournament.
Drapeau has very quick feet in addition to his grip.
I dunno about that. The two that definitely have his number are Lee and Grigalashvili

Didn't he win the olympics after 2019?
Just talking about grand slams
Stop amaricanizing all the names. Karapetian not karapetaian. Thanks for all

Yeah I still don't know how to say it even when you write it. Karapetian? Sounds weird, until I hear someone say it. Sorry!

The same thing everyone said in the Tokyo olympics...and by the way you forget Casse..
Most likely it’ll just depend on the draw
