There has been a lot of reclassification of techniques by the Kodokan since 2005 and frankly a lot of their changes don't align with what is commonly used within the dojo. What if the lower leg is not on uke's kneecap for Ashi Guruma, lower for example? O Guruma: Nobody would aim for the lower abdomen, that's just ineffective.

Do you think you could put links to the throws that you're referring to in these breakdowns for people like me that are interested but know very little about the sport/art? Cheers
So as a judo player you have a dominant side, you either like to turn left or right into your throws. This affects how you grip, so the way right vs right grip is very different to how right vs left grips
Ono apparently can’t beat nagase. Given ono’s performance in all japan and team japan competition in the Olympics, I don’t get him being given so much clout
