With a cartridge dead test the computer uses the cartridge ROM and not the computer ROM, so if the Vic is running bad it bypasses the Vic boot/basic and just uses the cartridge ROM.
Great video I always watch so much fun...but there is a bug in the file browser I have sent an email to Rod but with no reply, If you use a SD2IEC and the files are in a folder are more than 17 the file browser misses the 18th file, i.e you make folders named 0-9 and A to Z on an SD card when you view them in the file browser the folder P is missing as you page down to the next page. as if you have a folder with 100 files in, when you page over each page the 18 file is lost!!!!!!!!!!!! check it out and see for your self Rod has never replyed!!!
I think he's super busy with real life work at the moment which has a Christmas crunch at this time of year. Might be worth contacting Tynemouth on the site formally known as Twitter as he writes the firmware. I'll also mention it to Rod but the message I sent saying this has gone live is currently unread. As I say, Christmas crunch.
The Vic 20 was my first computer, and I love it to this day. I already owned a Penultimate+... but I bought this anyway :) I would say the extra stuff is well worth it!
You know you've made it as a RUclipsr when someone sends you runny jelly.

FYI You can launch DeadTest+ via the menu or by holding down the 'Reset Button' at power on :D

God bless TFW8B. They're as mad as hatters, but make the world a better place.
We all know the future is 8-bit hardware is excellent but what about the Jelly review.
The pink jelly went in the bin. The green jelly is very nice as I've had it before and is the correct jelly colour. I AM HIM!

Good cameo from Chinny cat.
There is something really unnerving about the way that penguin moves.
Gives me the willies every time.
One of the first bosses in Parodius.
What's stopping me is the fact that I don't have a VIC 20😱. I would get one if I did 👍
