- I'm still tearing things out of the little cottage. There is more and more evidence of rodent activity. The more I dig into this, the more I realize this cottage was more of a treehouse run by animals than anything else.

Hi Claudio awesome work. Do you have anymore videos of this project from when you restored all the interior?
Super nice video, Claudio... lots of stuff accomplished. Worried about you breathing in that rodent stuff...! Is that wood pecky cypress?
I know... I should have been wearing a mask for sure! 😷 I have no idea about the wood. Not exactly sure how to figure out what it is. It’s extremely dry and brittle now.

Great work there Claudio (sorry if misspelt) on the good side there is plenty of usable wood for some projects, with all that mice and rat crap around though i hope you had a mask on? at this rate it's going to cost you more on insulating the place, thanks to those rodents.
I have been watching all this demolition you have been doing, and was wondering if it would be cost worthy enough, to knock it all down to the base and rebuild it all back up with better wood?
Keep up the good work that you are doing in there.
Barry (ENG)
Yeah several people have asked me about just tearing it down and starting from scratch but the reality is that a lot of the structure and walls are in great shape. There was never any water inside so it’s all dry and sturdy. I had to level the floors, but that’s just because it settled over time like all houses do. Also, the two roofs are in mint condition. So, it would have been at least double to cost to construct a new building. Also then I would have had to go through a more rigorous permit process.
Thanks Barry!
You should wear boots..your going to step on a nail! Ouch!
Yeah true. I have some boots, but these old running shoes are SOO much more comfortable!!
You’d almost be better off to scrape the old building off and start over.
