2:15 When I said that Ollie was already over everything I meant that he was completely over being prejudice towards ghosts. In the episode he does show guilt for being racist towards ghost but that’s not what I was talking about. Also I do realize that if the show wasn’t canceled we would have gotten to see more of Molly and Ollie as a couple but it is still annoying
I don't really understand these arguments at all. You think Scratch would have a arc about liking Molly more but he just drops that after the 3rd episode Not exactly. They came to a mutual agreement and each episode he grows closer to her.First day frights he spent just trying to sabotage her first day, howling harriet he avoids geoff+molly and in the softball episode he's partly helping her cheat at games for his own benefit. *so he claims* Makes the theme not make sense - Ghost accidentally has a curse backfire. This is meant to establish there growing friendship so I'm not sure what exactly your trying to say. It would have been better if Scratch was more of a consistent jerk but got better throughout then season 1 he's fully becomes Mollys friend. If he was the former we would have struggled to see his softer more caring side and that gradually grows because they sprinkle little hints of it. Also that does happen. Especially in Molly Vs The Ghost World. If Scratch was constantly mean him defending Molly only once would have been out of left field and we wouldn't have gotten other moments like hugging during the eviction or him saving her life twice. You literally play they key moment during the season one finale so. Season 2: Ollie hates ghosts but changes his mind and is immediately over everything. No. If anything her joins the team purely out of guilt and he does still suffer shame over his actions. The Show tried to change to story driven. No it's still mainly episodic. This has nothing to do with Amphibia and Owl House whatsoever. The tgamm didn't get self conscious and that's pretty assumptious of you to claim. Half baked super rushed or super unsatisfying/leaves a bunch of questions that will never be answered -I'll give that to the chens and the cut production but you never elaborate on what questions specifically for the later. The Show covered nearly every arc aside from maybe Andrea. They Killed off the chairman to soon -I can kinda see where your coming from but he was never meant to be a key threat. If anything it was The Council themselves based on how they treated Scratch and how dominant they are involved with his job of scaring humans. Why does a episodic show have story stuff? Because a series can be both. What's the complaint here? Ducktales which you mentioned and Big City Greens does it. Hell so does Fish Hooks and Wander Over Yonder! Molly's fault for freeing bad ghosts being unused/Chairman being unused - the former wasn't her fault. And like I said before the chairman doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. The show was cancelled so of course it's rushed So your aware but blame it for a problem that isn't it's fault? Your geoff questions do have merit though. Ship tease about couple getting together but only happens at the end Aka Mollie. Bro I think you missed multiple episodes 😒.
0:39 He still gets annoyed by her over-the-top positivity in later epsidoes even after season 1. It's not like they get along all the time. All Systems No is an episode. The writers said in an interview that they thought it would have gotten old to show Scratch at his worst 100% of the time. 2:18 The passage of time in stories isn't always literal. The next episode isn't literally the next day. There could be an unspecified amount of time between the epsidoes. In that same episode, Ollie was crying because he wanted to kill ghost and he was still getting over the fact that what he was taught his whole life was wrong. 2:28 No it was going to have an ongoing plot since episode 1. 2:45 The chairman was supposed to be more like an old spirit or a force of nature. His being mysterious is the point. He is supposed to be more like a parasite making everyone's lives worse than a character. 3:20 Sounds more like you were growing impatient rather than the story being badly written. 4:33 No mention of June changing her mind about ghost quickly? The Chens parents changing their minds about ghosts was pretty fast but to be fair Jinx was attaching them and they had no choice but to team up with the nice ghosts. It was a the enemy of my enemy is my friend situation. 5:40 Jeoff is dumb. Also the Ghosts had no choice but to scare or they would be sucked up in the flow of failed phantoms. 6:00 I disagree about Molly and Ollie. While it would have been nice to see more of Molly and Ollie as an actual couple the show is more about friendship than romance. 6:06 I disagree that it is terrible at its story stuff. I think its very well written. When you think about it a lot happened in both seasons. In season 1 the McGees made the town fall in love with them in 20 episodes and the town paid for the house. Molly Broke the curse. Molly befriended Libby and helped her come out of her shell. Libby found out about Scratch. They discovered that souls could be separated from people. They did a great job of foreshadowing Scratch in retrospect. Molly learned more about Andrea and they understood each other better. In 2 Scratch became the Chairman and ghosts didn't scare anymore, they fought Jinx, They found out Scratch's true identity, Molly taught Ollie that ghosts weren't so bad, Molly and Ollie become a couple, The Davenport store closed, etc.
I wish I loved the show as much as its most obsessive fans. Clearly it struck a chord with plenty of folk and that makes me upset when it could have gone on much longer.
Most of the critiques here are partly production. Disney cut owl house for being too sorry driven. We don't know what's happening exactly with the creators and executives, but there seems to be a tension there. A lot of shows come under this scrutiny because it effects the bottom line. I don't disagree that there are problems but im pretty forgiving knowing how executives are. I'm pretty sure ducktales aired only on disney plus but molly was on disney channel which would definitely effect how episodic they wanted thibgs to be. Amphibia is probably the closest in tone to molly and it clearly had an end planned out but an unknown amount of time to follow through since they knew it was the last season a third of the way through theseason...
The Owl House wasn’t cancelled for being story driven, it was cancelled for “not fitting the Disney brand” whatever the hell that means. And Ducktails was not a Disney+ show. It aired on Disney channel or at least Disney XD. I don’t remember which. My problems have nothing to do with production. All my issues are writing problems and as far as we know the show didn’t have any production problems with the writing. And even if the writing was compromised by executives or something I would still criticize it. Ya it would suck it effected the show the way it did but at the end of the day the show suffered from it and I’m going to point out those flaws
I’ll be honest, I have no idea why the chairman is in this. The arc with Scratch being the new chairman goes nowhere, is incredibly confusing, and doesn’t even conclude. They set it up like the true chairman was there the whole time but then the cloak just flies away and we never see who it goes too. Compare this with DT2017 where LP is able to wear the gismo duck suit. Every time the humans went to the ghost world, the show tried to be epic and it just didn’t jibe well with the rest of the series.
Yeah to be honest the ghost and molly mcgee sucks now I like it at first but when it continues it starts getting bad including ollie and bad writing, wasted potential now looking back to it really makes no sense the story it just really bad, and molly was one of the worst female characters ever , Hilda was better than molly mcGee
That’s valid. I do really like the episodic stuff in the show. It’s really well done, but all of the story stuff is very lackluster and I think the show would’ve been much better without it
@@knarrow0222Ya Not everything needs to be story driven. I think the show works great when it’s episodic but a lot of it’s story stuff sucks which is why I think it would’ve been better if the story stuff just wasn’t in the showand it was purely episodic

Molly and ghost mcgee ws not bad series, but, honestly it's ending felt rushed like their was supposed to be a season 3 but didn't get it

yeah it SUCKS they couldn't have tired to be story driven
It doesn't need to be story driven to be good. The show is fine as is.

Disagree but its your opinion
