I like how King's not just a selfish, manipulative character hidden behind cuteness, but outside of his King complex, he really does have feelings of compassion and kindness.
Well of course :) All young kids are obnoxious little shits to an extent, and being raised by Eda would've contributed to that lols. But Luz coming into the picture helped him get more in touch with his sweet side, as shown when you notice he slowly discovers that he likes being showered in affection by her 🥰

King is adorable , cute and cares about luz and eda and consider them as family . Even sometimes he is arrogant of selfish , it is in a normal boundary ( like a normal child )
On the other hand bill is the opposite , bill doesn’t care about anyone but himself , he doesn’t care to hurt people feelings , actually he has pleasure to manipulate his victims. And bill is so creepy . Bill is kinda a sociopath and chaotic evil .

She’s more of a kitten.
You know, at first, I thought King was an adult throughout the first season and the first half of the second season but knowing that King is actually a child allows me to see these scenes in a whole another light
I thought if he's not hundreds of years old, he's probably only slightly older than Luz (15 to 20-ish). But it turns out he's 8 (He does not sound 8!), it does explain a few things about his behaviour but he's very verbose and worldly for an 8 year old. I guess you shouldn't hold him up to human standards and just accept he's simultaneously a little kid and an adolescent/young man at the same time.
He hatched from his egg 8 years ago, but I think he’s been in his egg for quite a bit longer. But he’s eight, biologically and mentally speaking.
Without the synthesized effect, Alex makes King a sweeter version of Bill.
In addition to being Hispanic (it’s nice that she speaks Spanish a lot), what I love about Luz is that I consider her to be exactly like Mabel, Star, and Anne: a Disney cartoon girl with a lovable, sincere, and courageous personality who would be a great friend in real-life.

I love that King can be seen as arrogant and just a tiny bit selfish, but not to the point of putting the people he cares about in danger, and he does admit that while he is an actual king, he’s also cute and adorable in his current form, and that doesn’t stop him, it’s amazing!
