Got one over here, my 10 yo son will be racing it. Took him out for some practice time with it and him driving that truck was probably the most confident he ever felt with a car on the track. Safe to say we are both excited to get him into 4wd sct.
Huge fan just recently became addicted to this wonderful hobby insane I slept on this so long. Just purchased the new Mojave 4s and I want to get the slash to build it. Eventually I would like to build a tekno. Awesome content!!!!!
Honestly. Skip the basher and make the next a Tekno kit.

I actually ripped one yesterday at my local track ROCCK Racing. I was mind blown how much steering the truck had.
Wow I love the steering on this rig. I might have to get me my first Tekno.
Well now I'm really curious what option parts you want to add for extra durability. Everything already seems well protected and braced. The smaller shocks did concern me, but after seeing this and Wiggins truck run at Truck Nats.. seems it's a super strong performer out of box on kit stock setup. It flies so nice!
I've been told there isn't much to replace. someone recommended I get the aluminum sway bar collars as the stock plastic ones seem to loosen up. and also the ABCD blocks if you want to fine tune the arm angles.

I agree. This car is a new step in rc world. I run a max8g2 with a 4268g2 2500kv in 4s. In the sct410.3 i have a max8sct and a 3660 4300kv in 3s (and it's perfect for this one). But the new one is made for bigger motor i think. 4s is the right point for this. I don't run these on track. Amazing trucks.

If you were to buy the upgradeable A,B,C, & D aluminum blocks for the sct 2.0 would you get the -1mm or -2mm? What would be the advantage to one or the other?
In your honest opinion, which one is best for racing? This one, the tlr scte 3.0, or the 410SL?

I bought the 410SL to try out on our smaller tracks, then two weeks later the 410 2.0 came out, So now I have them both lol had I know I probably would have only got the SCt 410 2.0
im still keeping my SL... if you have a local 10th scale track. It will be hard to beat the SL.

What do you think is better for racing? This one or the 410SL or TLR 3.0 scte
I just got the 2.0 , drives great but nose dives horribly off jumps. I removed the rear skid plate, it got better but still difficult. Any thoughts?

Glad you put this video out, it has helped me feel a little better on this thing. I still do not like the one piece motor mount. It is not about changing pinion gear but more towards motor removal for maintenance. Having to remove the diff to get the motor out is a little over kill. With a sliding motor mount it is just 2 bolts. Now I need to get a transponder for it and figure out where to mount it. I did not see your transponder so where did you mount it at?
Its in the receiver box. I also agree with the motor mount. You have to remove the entire center piece to even get to the motor screws. Meshing is super easy though.
What electronics do you use? I’ve been wanting to build a short course truck i only run on carpet

Hey I just got started into rc racing and I have a rustler and a slash but I set the rustler4x4 up for the track but I can’t take the sharp turns do you have any tip or tricks to get more steer my end points are at max and my tires are good just can’t turn still thanks in advance

$470 and no electronics, body or wheels? I'm still deciding on my first RC car but that seems quite ridiculously high considering a slash ultimate is $500. What am I missing here? Why so expensive? Is is THAT much better?
Teknkos are built like tanks. They dont break. A slash, you will break and its just not as competitive of a truck. If your just getting your first, stick with the slash. It will be more suited. Then step up. There is alot to building a setup.

It really is that much better. The biggest thing you will see is how much easier to go fast and how forgiving the tekno is. You can push this truck without it making you pay for mistakes. To elaborate, if you get a jump wrong with a lot of speed on a slash ultimate, it will flip several times and possibly land on its lid. Whereas with the tekno, it will likely soak up the mistake and keep trucking. When you're leading a race, it makes a HUGE difference... hahaha!

No.. totally different companies and designs. Tekno has always been Tekno. Durango was a Hobbico brand. Arrma survived the acquisition by Horizon, Durango silently died.
