Goodness, Ken Jay is a machine on the drums and Xer0? He sounds amazing and really does this song justice. I'm still shocked at the fact that they perform this live due to the scatological references, but damn does this band kill it live. I hope to see them in concert soon.

    Xero does this song justice

Right? He's fucking amazing and I have Xer0 doubt that Wayne is smiling down upon them knowing that he is being honored and that we X-heads haven't forgotten him. They couldn't have picked a better singer if they wanted to.

So, what's the story with this? Wayne died like 10+ years ago, obviously, so is this a "tribute" tour or are the old members trying to legitimately reform with a new singer?

Kinda a mix of both, they also wanted to hide on stage the singers identity to avoid distraction of Wayne's legacy with a new name/face (like it sometimes happend in other bands) but doesn't liked the idea of a hologram or playback because "the singer need to have a pulse".

@@g.koch. Is the new guy a known name? or some faceless guy wearing a Wayne helmet just for the look? I couldnt tell how much of the singing was actually him, or if it was playback of Wayne's actual voice. It's a cool concept either way, but I kind feel bad for him if theyre just using him as a body to stand in for Wayne, and he's not actually performing.

@@joshfarley7584 nothing official confirmed by him and the band but a ton of people assume Edsel Dope from Dope, since hints like a neck tattoo and touring cycle together, that's probably the reason why he wears long sleeve and gloves covering where the other tattoos are. Old and new mask obviously resemble Waynes famous hair (even tho they deny that). It's mostly live singing 97% I would say, I saw them 2019 in my town and was really impressed by the vocals.
To "being used" he said in an interview “The motive behind it is that I, Edsel Dope, have zero interest in being the frontman, face or [being] known as the singer of Static-X. I feel like as long as we never put another face to Static-X, Wayne will always be the face of Static-X. It’s appropriate. That was the number one most important thing. I’ll help my friends" which is in my opinion a relatable view on the situation.

@@g.koch. I guess if it was his idea all along its ok, it just feels strange to not at least take a little bit of credit.
Like with the Pantera tribute tour, we dont see Zakk Wyld dressing up and acting like Dimebag, he is just honoring his friend. I feel like you could still do that in his position and at least be credited with the work and effort it takes to basically front two band's entire sets each night.

It's Edsel Dope and he's doing an incredible job. They are better than ever now
