Greetings to our most honorable and brave foes of WW1 from Turkey. Those sons of yours who fell in Gallipoli are our brothers now and as Mustafa Kemal Atatürk said; "they will rest in peace forever as our sons". You are, and will always be wellcome as our most honored guests and brothers to our country, where you first stepped as enemies on 25/04/1915.
It was 😭 that so many Anzacs died at that place in Gallipoli as a fellow Australian like myself I respect the follen Australians we lost my great great great grandfather was a Anzac gone but not forgotten
As an American living in Australia, I attended Anzac Day before crack of the dawn every year. This is a beautiful ceremony in Gallipoli. Good job Aussie/NZ and Damien Woolfe! Flawless. Lest we forget.
Having been to Gallipoli for the first time recently, I found this ceremony extremely moving. It was an honour and a privilige to be visiting. We must never forget and always remember. RIP
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. Lest we forget ♥️
Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives ... You are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours ... You, the mothers who sent their sons from faraway countries, wipe away your tears; your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well. - Atatürk
It was Bryony Williams From the New Zealand Army Band who Sang the New Zealand National Anthem & if you were Wondering who Sang the Australian National Anthem it was ABMUSN Maggie James from the Royal Australian Navy Band Melbourne
Thanks to the ABC in Australia we are able to see our Honourable Foreign Minister Winston Peters make his speech. Sadly, here in New Zealand we saw none of this on our local media.....
