RIP Joe Payne (bassist). I first heard of him in this video, around when it first came out, and it led me to discover that he was the live bassist for Nile for a few years. Annihilation of The Wicked was my introduction to death metal, and it blew me away. A big loss for the metal community.
Dam idk that I seen them on the black seeds of vengeance and annihilation of the wicked tour also you see very few videos with him with a bass player unless it's live
Cannibal corpses hammer smashed face got me into death metal officially by my senior year of high school I was listening to well known bands like morbid angel and death I just started getting into nile I first heard annilation of the wicked and I was like oh boy I'm in for a treat
J Geesey uh yeah his name is tommy vext and i met him once when divine heresy toured with chimaira and all that remains man that was a sick memory got to carry the drums to the trailer. Divine heresy is amazing but i do think bad wolves has incredible potential as we can see in their current vids
Tommy is a great vocalist, no doubt about that, but when I saw them live at a festival in Melbourne AU, between songs, he started ranting on about his religious beliefs, and everyone was looking around kind of confused like "What the F is he on about? " Let's hear some metal! Just save it for church on Sunday, not at a metal festival.
RIP to the bass player. This song is crazy though man. Technically demanding and visceral death metal but somehow laced with hooks beyond the chorus and in the riffs + grooves alone? Plus Tommy had an almost mid range yell you’d hear in traditional and GOOD heavy hardcore plus he can do cleans and shrieks. Drummer is nuts. Im gonna listen to the whole album now.
out of all the songs by Divine Heresy, this one is the best. the vocalist went to his limit and beyond, and the drummer is absolutely fucking amazing! this song is bad ass.
Divine Heresy marked and accompanied me throught my teenage era, this band was perfect for me, Dino with those machine-gun killer riffs, Tim with those fast and fresh drumming, I was astonished. And those unique vocals, aggresive, violent and the melodic ones was the cherry on the cake. Just would liked they all remain together making awesome music. I remember when some magazines begin talking about a project that Dino was creating, more aggresive, fast and brutal, and knowing that he was the FF guy, had big expectations, watched this official video, watched those jam sessions, was pretty hyped for Tim's drumming, I learned a lot of drumming cause of him, I missed the first time when they come to México but they come again that same year I think, I maybe have listened that Bleed the Fifth like a real thousand times, haha. Got the cd's and a bit ago the vinyl versions. I'm sure I will keep playing, headbanging and blasting to them til I get elder. Thanks guys.
@@bobburns3152 Thanks for that piece of information. Ever since I read your comment the other day I been checking out there shit and its badass, thanks again man☠️☠️☠️
I knew Joe. We were in a halfway house for federal inmates in 2018. Good fucking dude. Gonna miss his talent and what the future held for him. RIP Joe.
Vext was by far their best vocalist. His range was perfect for the style. And my heavens ..Tim Yeungs double bass skills are off the charts. The raw speed without a missed beat always amazed me.
Metal is a language you either understand it or you dont, this is a band ive recommended for years still love there songs, wish to see more Dino you a beast!
When everyone acts like they know who tommy is this is where you met him at the most. This song this band. So many memories. Tommy is legend. And always will be. God got a place for him. And that's a good place
as much as i like the new singer tony is also a breaktrough singer, i dont think many people understand the talented voice this guy haves he is able to throw a good vocal with no problems after screaming his head out perfectly and not many singers this day can really do that at all
2:11 "....Chemical gassing the terrified masses, Engulfing the world in denial; IN DENIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!!!" I live for being home alone with this song at full volume. It's so much fun to sing along to this while cleaning around the house. XD
@@toekneelorenzo2942 yeah cause Dino is a fucking egotistical fuckhead. Imagine how amazing this band could have been with Tommy still on vocals. Makes my face hurt
Hard to lose Tommy Vex.. with his crazy fucking shit.. But he was the best vocalist.. Divine Heresy .. continued to be amazing.. without him.. but he was awesome.
Dylan Thomson That would be cool but I don't mind if he doesn't. I mean, Jesse has been killing it lately. In all honesty, though, what would be awesome is if Howard rejoined and they keep Jesse, giving KSE a two singer lineup. This is probably too epic to actually happen but on the bright side, we at least get to hear Howard on the upcoming KSE record where he is a guest singer on one song!
Seen FF a few times. Not my favorite band, but they do def have an intimidating sound. Divine Heresey is a new discovery for me. This is gonna grow on me.
J Nicolosi What was wrong with Howard Jones though? I mean this guy is good. Actually better than the guy singing for DH now but Howard was good for KSE.
these guys are so fucking amazing. honestly these guys are so talented. their vocals may not be the most brutal, but it's not just the vocals that makes these guys amazing, instrumentally every member is a master of their craft

I mean the riffs are so good and Vext has some incredible vocals. Love his cleans. I like bad wolves too but I much prefer this.
WoW, mind = blown. Really technical song. Very very tight, rhythmic and the vocals fit in really well with it. You know they're there, but it's like the vocals meld with the music so well. I love the snare pop too. Definitely an awesome effect.
Obligatory youtube comment. Every song I watch is essentially the same thing- "Somehow i think i'm enlightened and everyone else sucks... I need to prove my point so let's fight about nonsense like preschool kids when we all really love the same thing." Fucking metal. Fuck yeah.
This song has everything. Perfect guitar work, drum work, clean vocals and scream, intensity, perfection.. What else can you expect? FUCK the new divine heresy!! thumbs if you agree!

What is this genre? Technical Metalcore? The Vocals remind me of All That Remains but with modern Fear Factory riffs.
Good ear, Dino Cazares was also the guitarist for Fear Factory.
It's more than likely Metal. Calling this technical metalcore seems a bit much.
Reminds me of the NWOAHM
