Ray and Zach count down the TOP 10 BEST & WORST CARS TO BUY in 2024, based upon days supply, incentives, and quality reports. The cars chosen for each category may surprise you if you've been keeping up with this channel! - Развлечения
When he said "at the same time it's a jeep"... Felt it to my soul. Anything from stellantis/ jeep Chrysler dodge...stay clear. Found out the hard way. The amount of money spent on our cherokee was like owning a mercedes or BMW.
And yet they have a Chrysler as a best buy!!?? No wonder I rarely watch this channel. Worthless
I currently have a 2019 300 V6 with 110k miles on it. No problems just routine maintenance and changed the spark plugs recently. While it has been reliable I wouldn’t pay over $30k for another for the reason in the video.
On the Mazda CX-90 I’ve seen them used in some markets for $37-40k with 5,000 miles or less on them. I’d go the used route to save a few $$$
From personal experience, the Chrysler Pacifica looks great on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck. I exceeded my tow limit so I dumped it at 17,000 miles.
Hilarious! Thanks!
I've seen them and Caravans with well over 500k km - over 300k miles here in Canay. Very reliable and easy to maintain if serviced and driven properly.
@@hawklutzyou are seeing statistical outliers. Statistically the Pacifica has been a reliability fail. The numbers don’t lie across alllll of the publications who track reliability, just too expensive and a lot of issues.
Those pacificas are utter heaps of garbage, we rented one, and it was literally the worst car I’ve ever been in, literally our 10 year old Sienna is better than that pile of shit
Don’t know if it’s appropriate to laugh or cry. Probably both. Had a Pacifica as a company car years ago, and it was a POS then.
Traded in my 2016 Mazda CX-5 for a new 2024 Mazda CX-50 two months ago. it's a great car and I'm very happy with it.
How was the 2016? How many miles did you have on it?
just bought a Mazda CPO 2023 Turbo Signature, managers ride, had 6.5k miles....36.5 plus tax and fees! Nice ride!
Your first justification for the 300 is it hasnt changed in a decade? Toyota would like to have a word with you.
That was true a couple of yrs ago but toyota recently has been very aggressive in their new and refresh vehicles. Tacoma is the only one sticking to its grass roots in terms of looks but it’s been hugely successful.
@@chookchack the 4runner is still hot in my area (TX) can't seem to find a good deal on a used one, and new ones are at best %5 off with a 6.99% finance
Doesn't matter toyota makes a quality product. Chrysler doesnt
You’re also comparing a Stellantis product with Toyota…….
@oimfc37 moot point. The reasoning given to avoid the 300 was it hasn't been updated...which toyota hasn't done to many of their vehicles for over a decade. Just because platforms are still old MB remnants, shouldn't exclude them from a buy list.
A 10% discount on vehicles that are overpriced by 20% doesn't seem like such a deal.
Their general advice is to wait as long as you can right now. But if you need a new car, these are the best and worst to buy right now.
@@MIKOOL13 thanks! I can wait.
Wow, such a polarizing and original take
@@MIKOOL13True. I’m planning on waiting as long as I can while holding on to my paid-off Toyota Prius as long as I can.
Take it up with whoever chose capitalism as our country’s model That’s what it is People with more money than you charging you more money than they should I guess greed wasn’t factored into the capitalism decision whatsoever
NOT saying there is a better model I’m just saying that complaining about things being overpriced is just pointless For the most part People HAVE to have cars And car companies know that And just like me and you want more money than we currently have….. so do the people who run car companies
That’s just the way it is If you refuse to purchase anything unless you get it at a fair price You will starve and die
Sorry to see this just came out right after I bought a new vehicle. Pleased to see what I bought was listed as one of the best to buy right now for 2024 - a 2024 Chevy Trax. Not sure how you got under $25K for the out the door price, unless you meant for the base model, which I didn't get. Checking around, I did get one of the lowest prices for any dealer in the Houston area. I followed as many of your tips as I could. Using them I jawed the dealer down and Edmunds ranked the final deal I got as good. So I guess I did alright.
interesting you'd give a recommendation on a mustang mach-e, you should probably look into the battery issue that should be a recall considering every one of them will have to spend a considerable time in the shop.
Looking at getting 2024 Infiniti qx50 sport . Where do those stand???
With the current prices and lack of pay increases in the work force to correct for inflation, I think many people will be taking a hard pass on a new vehicle for many years to come.
Yup
What reliability issues has the Pathfinder had? It looks better than average and they ditched the cvt in '22. Has the same 9-sp that the Pilot has.
The stiff depreciation from 45k down to 30k makes it a good buy in my mind. I've been looking at the Pilot as well and it has exactly the same depreciation. One 2 yrs old, w/30k miles is about $28-30k. Pricing is the same.
I'm in Canada. We have lots of Mazda's inventory. Our finance rates are over 6. Any advice on how to get a lower rate?
You guys are fantastic and so informative! Thanks so much!
We have own the Kia carnival since 2022. My family and I are still enjoying it.
We have two 2019 Mazdas. They’ve both been fantastic cars.
Waiting for my Sienna. Would've got a Pacifica hybrid, but they didn't want to move on the price... so I got an Odyssey for a lot less.
Nissan was good in the 90s. I had a Sentra. Then I got a 2005 Xterra. It self destructed after 13 years, computer/transmission problems. You don't see many today. And I do maintain my cars. They also had the problem where radiator fluid would mix with the transmission fluid and obliterate your transmission. And I had to replace a resistor twice to keep the ac working. Great in the snow.
I just bought the 2024 Edge ST line after trading in my 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer, and it’s like going from driving a shopping cart with a phone attached to it, to piloting the Millennium friggin Falcon lol 😄
Cars have made such a massive leap in the last 10-15 years. Which I guess makes sense as they do tend to change about every decade or so, but I just never thought I’d see cars like there are now on the road in my lifetime.
But holy god it’s such a good lil’ truck (and yes - SUV’s are classified as trucks not cars lol).
Especially when accelerating in sport mode. I’ve never personally driven a vehicle that puts on the boots like this one does after putting it in sport mode.
Some goober cut off a bunch of cars to be first in line at a red light beside me, so he could jump ahead and cut me off to be in the front of the line, and for the first time in my life, I just got to say - “Haha… nahhhh”, and put it in sport, and as he was just starting to even put his foot on the gas and start the car moving forward to try and bomb ahead of me, I’d already left him in my dust and he started flashing his high beams and giving me the finger out of his window because I beat his Subaru sedan in my Ford SUV and probably destroyed his entire view haha 😂🤷🏻♂️
I guess I’m a full fledged Ford man now!! And if that was my initiation then I’m gonna do the community proud haha 😄👍
I like that you guys rate the top ten buy price and deal making, but could you grade the top ten buy quality and reliability?
Yes. No Toyotas or Hondas recommended here.
Zach, how good of a deal are Hyundai Palisades going for? Can i expect under MSRP or is invoice of car minus rebates decent?
Hyundai are junk
I’m leasing a Jeep 4xe hybrid and I like it so far. It’s fast w nice suspension on bumps and no problems yet lol. They say you can get 20 miles on electric range and I highly doubt that but I have yet to get a full 12 hour charge on it. So to be continued..,
Yeah, I heard many people can't find a charging station and may need one installed in their garage. I am not sure how it will work for those people who live in the city and can't find charging stations. That sucks!
Is the inventory data only cars on your site? I know y’all don’t work with Rick Hendrick, and one Rick Hendrick store alone is showing 77 Colorados.
😂 I love how Zach's qualification is "Ray's son". Nice job title! 😂 Wow that BMW X2 is UGGGGLLLLYYYY
No WONDER it's not selling!!!
And he's the "straight" answer?
The Pacifica hybrid has a reliability score of 16/100. How is that a buy?
A bad buy is still a buy.
Last week my Dad bought a VW Atlas. Yesterday my best friend bought a KIA Sportage and today I ordered a Chevy Traverse Z71. I had tried to get deal on a RAM 1500 instead, but the discounts aren't anywhere near good enough to make a Stellantis product attractive. That's why I got the Traverse.
VW Atlas......Hahahahahaha when the Chevy engine blows you will wish you had the RAM
yawn yes yes if it isnt the brand your a fanboi of, they always blow up@@chadhaire1711
Would like more info on the Buick Envista great looking car how cheap can Caredge get me in the base model for?
You’re better off with the Mazda , just cause it’s cheap doesn’t mean it’s quality lol
I have a 23 Pathfinder SL. I like it and I think it's pricing is competitive
I really enjoyed this video. It helps the consumer to figure out what we should consider buying. Thank you.n
I’ve got a 23 300c awesome car. To each his own.

I bought a RAM 1500...-4% under invoice and only $180 doc fee and $18 transfer tag plus sales tax...great deal.
I love your channel guys! I leased a few Mazdas in the past, and loved them! When I retired, I decided to go with something I loved, and has excellent reliability...a new 4Runner in 2016. She now has only 11,000 miles. My Goldilocks from 60 years of driving. Still a car guy, so I'll keep watching to make recommendations to friends.
How do you feel about the jeep gladiator
Good afternoon to both of you. I need some help. I need a preowned family minivan because I cannot afford a car payment at the moment. I have a 2009 used honda odssey with a lot of wear and tear, oil leaks, axle, valve cover gaskit, and more. Please help with some info on the price and mileage I should look for on a preoned toyota sienna, or the best van you think is more reliable now in 2024. thank you, please help.
My 2023 Aviator has been awesome. Lovely, fast, tight, and overall reliable after 19K miles.
Your standards are pretty low if you think anything should go wrong on any car at 20 k miles.
Doubt you’ll be saying that in a couple years.
@@JA-zh5xi Nope, I won’t…It’s on a 24-month lease.
I bought a 2024 Elantra in Oct 2023 for 1800 under MSRP. put 3k down. tax tag title OTD with down payment was just under 21k for a brand new vehicle. It gets 40+ mpg @ 75-80 mph and replaced a 220k mile 2007 Chrysler Sebring base model sedan. Best part is, it's not a hybrid, no direct injection, just a simple engine.
Financed @ 60 months payment is 413$ a month. Planned on paying cash but will pay it off next month.
Good luck..have a 2013, can't park indoors for ABS recall that can catch fire + engine piston slap issues causing total engine failure

I'm considering a Kia Carnival. The range of prices seems to be $2000 below msrp, at msrp, or a few thousand above. There does appear to be enough stock of the lower trims, not as much of the higher trims. Supply may be building up because of the upcoming 2025 refresh which may be around as soon as the summer.
You admit to considering a Kia ? Eek
Dang! I was really liking the Lincoln Aviator.
The 2023 300C with the 6.4l hemi is a pretty awesome car. Bought now at a discount, good value for the $. 😁
My next door neighbor had one of those beasts. He put a Borla exhaust on it. That was one mean sounding car. He flipped it for a profit.
Great sounding car for sure, very comfy, but those cars do not last long and are built sort of cheaply like the old C200
OTD price? Can you shout out the good dealer?
@@JasonM96. They go 150,000 miles how long do you want to go?
Great question . IMO , this is one of those that Z&R got WRONG ! I know people who have or have had these . They are pretty nice for the price and pretty reliable .@@chadhaire1711
Love my 2014 awd 8 cylinder 300. Very reliable.
If I find an affordable one in my area, I'll buy one. Our local dealership is offering one with the V6 and 10,000 over MSRP. Still crazy here in west-central PA.
I love when you do this feature- it reinforces my initial instincts of cars not to buy! 😁
I was looking at the cx90 and the telluride, I need a family 3 row … I like the Mazda cx90 but I can’t believe there is 14 thousand for sale right now … I never see them on the road! But I’ll see 10 tellurides a day! Anyone have any thoughts ? Thanks
Last I checked there was $5,000 cash rebate or 0.0% on 60 months financing for the Kia Niro EV.
This is in Michigan,, at least.
Kia are garbage vehicles.
in mass theres 13.5k lol 10k kia 3500 state we are selling these for 250 a month 0 down lease
One thing I would like to hear from you guys is what cars make you feel good buying, excitement buying, I want that vehicle car. When buying a car is just " I got a great deal" that means it's a bad deal for customers and dealers. Why is it always about the deal and not the transaction?
I haven't had to look at car market since before pandemic. I remember hearing the escalade had lots of problems at the time- have they gotten the bugs out?
Very seriously doubt it
I must be a lucky man, have a 2013 jeep wrangler 175,000 miles I’ve have very few issues and will keep it as long as I can
Right! They must of spent a little more time on mines at the factory too. 😅
Funny, I just purchased a 2024 Chevy Colorado Z71 this past Saturday at a dealership that never does market adjustment or any greedy add on merchandise.
Just seen a lease deal on a f150 xlt. 8k down 1000 a month for 39..... really great deal.....
That is not a great deal.
I hope you’re being sarcastic..
@@seadoo4life127..me too
Never lease. Maybe if you have a business and can write it all off. And you’re not going to exceed the mileage.
We took advantage of the depreciation of the Pathfinder and bought a 2 year old one nicely equipped at a significant savings over a new one. Still a 5th generation without the crappy CVT transmission. Planning to keep it for a long time so depreciation from this point isn't as big of a deal to us. ...unless it turns out to be a lemon.
I did exactly that. Bought a 2020 Chrysler 300. Couldn’t tell you the difference between that and a 2023
I would like to buy a 24 GMC Canyon AT4X. But, I'm not willing to pay MSRP or even Invoice. When inventory increases and they start offering incentives, then I will buy.
Thank you!
I agree with you that Mazda builds a solid ride. I've owned 4.
My Mazda 3's transmission went bad at 62K miles (2K out of warranty).
I will say, I'd gotten it serviced at a Mazda Dealership regularly since I bought it, Mazda replaced the Transmission for just the cost of the labor, so that was good if them, but it also took 90 days for the part to come in...
I was able to lease the CX-90 PHEV for S-Plan price minus $7,500 lease cash, so that was a very good incentive.
Are you saying that you had to pay $7500 upfront like a down payment for a leased vehicle?
@@susanstewart5194 no. Lease cash is a deduction from the price. So I got $7500 off.
@@susanstewart5194 no, mazda has a $7500 lease incentive that comes off of the price of the vehicle only for leasing purposes though as that incentive does nothing on the residual so lease to own in that case would not be wise. They still end up being over 600 a month with 0 down
Huge mistake if you put down anything on a lease car it should of been 0 down out the door
Wait a minute, you base your best and worst on availability? That's kind of stupid
I currently own a 2019 V6 300 Limited. 51,000 miles regular maintenance and a water pump under warranty. Fast, comfortable, good on gas for a big sedan. Just because it's been around a while is not a good reason not to purchase. Means they got all the bugs out. Still has unique style. I would buy it again. If you like a big American sedan the 300 is a great choice.
Trash 🚮
😂 my Toyota crown saids different as it’s looks years ahead of the Chrysler
a water pump at 50k is terrible lol their point proven...
The Crown is all kinds of ugly. Every car has something that must be dealt with. Just because it looks different doesn't make it better. The Avalon was probably the number one full size sedan in regards to looks and reliability and it's gone. My Chrysler was a great deal bought before the pandemic craziness and I stand by it. You have to actually own several different cars to have a real idea of what is good or bad.
@@robertjohnson-xn3ld if the crown was ugly then it wouldn’t have ended up in the states since ugly doesn’t sell lol
And we’re good on the Chrysler , nothing but problems from those , it’s really a poor man car lol doesn’t take a bunch of reading and buying different brands to know that 😂
I think I’m turning into a Mazda guy.

How did the Fiskar Ocean miss the top 10 for worst vehicles to buy right now?
Saw many videos that you should not "Lease" any new cars. Saw a video from Bradford Irons. :)
Ppl look at where your future vehicle is made. That is important!
The Mustang Mach-E is pretty sleek in person. My neighbor's always zooming around in it. Do people like them?
I rented a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 1400 miles for a week recently and it had to get towed away because it would not shift into drive. I own a 2015 currently and I will never own another Jeep.
Jeeps are trash
How much should I expect to pay for a 2024 Jeep GC Altitude sticker says: $50170. Supposedly 45547 with all the crazy rebates (most I'm sure I won't qualify for)
The Chevy Colorado is a new design this year. I was at a Chevy dealership in western Pennsylvania three weeks ago and they had 4 of them - all spoken for. Production will ramp up very soon.
They are a mother to preform maintenance on
I would be concerned about the one recall on the hybrid Pacifica. Stellantis did a 'half-assed' fix for it. the recall is the loss of motiv power. Involving a wire harness short to the transmission. to properly fix it ...the transmission needs to come out...and I believe need to be taken apart. (which dealers most likely unable to do....its gets shipped out..fixed ...then sent back to dealer...$$$$$). I think they fixed the issue 100% sometime in the 2023 production year....neeed to pay close attention to Vin# before buying...or if the tranny has already been replaced .
Do you guys have a best used car guide?
Good to see them coming down. Not quite where they need to be to MOVE inventory in a meaningful way, yet.
I went to two Chevy Dealerships last week. They were not willing to negotiate on the Silverado. I was shocked
Just bought a new Lexus ES 350 for 12% off sticker😎
@TheRalf9999- Considering the MSRP is padded by 20% I wouldn't be too happy with 12% off.
So what were the added fake fees?
@@jerrylundegaard2592 - For some reason, people actually think that the MSRP was brought forth by Moses. It's a fictitious number made up by the manufacturers, based on what they think the market will bear. Plus the evidence they have as to how stupid ppl are.

Got a new pathfinder and have ZERO regrets. The resale value doesn’t matter to me due to the fact that we keep our vehicles for at least 10 years.
Need to do the most recalled vehicles.
Anyone getting an EV needs their head examined.
Unfair to compare the GC 4XE vs entry level, 4XE comes with a lot more standard equipment over an entry level model including standard 4WD etc. The 4XE is basically a Limited trim
The 4XE starts at 60,490, the Limited with 4x4 is 48500 thats 11990 difference, and theres a 14500 lease incentive tied to it which actually makes it cheaper than the standard gas model.
Crazy three Chevrolet dealerships are trying to buy my Colorado since they’re in high demand
give them an "additional owner markup"
Yeah one dealership offered me 5600 over market value but I have it paid off and don’t want a truck payment
Do it! I sold my 11 year old Nissan Frontier in 2020 when book value was $5k, for $15k. Now it was in mint condition and had upgrades, but I knew I’d never get that much for it again.
You probably can sell it outright for considerably more. If they’re offering you $5600, it’s worth at least $10k to them, if not more.
I have a 2024 pathfinder platinum it’s an awesome vehicle, especially at the price point and financing 2.9….Nissan has done some restructuring and redesigning, they are on the way up
Better enjoy it for awhile cause that resale value already left the deal lmao
@@cormaro1376 re-sale is low becvause the pre-2022 look was horrible. I test drove a Telluride and a Pallisade and a Pilot. The pathfinder blew them all out of the water in both comfort, features, tech and space (especially 3rd row). It's definitely worth checking out. I also think it looks better than all of the other 3 rows. Nissan put a LOT of thought into this re-design. I think re-sale will continue to climb as it has been on these.
I agree and don’t care about resale. I’m looking at this vehicle.
We just traded away our 21 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid... I wouldn't recommend. It was comfortable, but we had issues with the radio command center they never could fix, and I noticed the paint bubbling on the hood. Local dealer also didn't want to work on Hybrid and sent us to another dealership. I did get great trade value on it $30,100, 3 years old.
The 300 may be an old model, but it's built on a Mercedes chassis and have been lasting a long time.

The fact that the 300 hasn't changed in umpteen years is not what bothers me or that it's a sedan..these are some of the reasons why I love my Crown Victoria. No the heart of the issue is just price really, like pretty much all new cars right now.
Just got the 2024 Subaru Solterra.
48k MSRP. 1400 out of pocket includes 1st payment. 15k miles 36 month lease. $300 a month.

$48K MSRP $300/month!? You’re straight up lying. Those numbers make no sense especially with these rates.
@@Some.Legendi have to agree with this guy on some absolute nonsense. those payments equate to $12,200. not remotely close to half of $48k even with a ‘hell of a deal’. plus he says 15k miles (another $40-$50/month alone) . maybe he got a base civic.
The BMW X2 that you are showing at the video is the new 2024 model (last month debut), not the one that is left(2023) in inventory.
this is what I was saying couple videos back. also from new inventory search, there's only a hand full of 2023 F39 X2 still available. BMW NA just released the Q1 sales, the X2 sold 560 units which majority of it is the new U10 chassis that just hit the showroom maybe a month and half ago.
Exactly. Im tryin to figure out what these guys are talking about.
I think Mazda needs to keep the exterior style they are going for... but move the media controls to the dash and/or offer a touch screen. We tend to find them hard to move... even though they seem to punch above their weight in bang for the buck, and even look nice.
I’m honestly looking to get a Chrysler 300s with the 5.7 Hemi… I just waiting for price to drastically decrease maybe before I consider one. They want 40-50k for a brand new car. Honestly better options for that price

Have a deal working now for a Mazda 3. 2023, hoping to get about $1300 under MSRP. Thankfully I’m a Mazda fan (already own two) because the Honda, Toyota and Nissan dealers in town all have advertised discounts and bloated addendums on their vehicles.
