@Monsieur Z That whole characterization about Wilhelm’s arm giving him an inferiority complex. Wilhelm II ruled Germany as a popular and capable monarch. Many of his statements were spun by the Entente. Wilhelm II didn’t hate Britain actually far from it. He also managed to peacefully diffuse a potential civil war had Bismarck gotten his way. If the institution of the Kaiser had been kept as a figurehead monarchy, might post WW1 Germany been more stable? I think of the reason General MacArthur and other Americans argued for keeping the Emperor of Japan as a figurehead monarch post WW2.
The Kaiser had abdicated his throne since communists began to revolt in cities along with the formation of the Weimar Republic and a minor civil war occurred. Wilhelm went into exile in the Netherlands afterwards and remained bitter about his abdication. His position was not abolished by the Entente.

I as a German monarchist can honestly say I don’t blame Wilhelm the Second for his abrasive nature or his out burst for one thing think of his legacy he is following in the boots of his Grandfather Kaiser Wilhelm the First was seen as the king that unified all of Germany his grandfather while prince became famous for stopping an uprising of anti Prussian dissenters and being name Prince Wilhelm of Grapeshoot for it. Plus look at the kings who came before him he was following in the foot steps of some of Prussia’s greatest kings and yet here he was thrust to the position Kaiser earlier then he should and only barely being prepared for what lied ahead yet he persevered and tried to raise a powerful nation one that just by it existing was a threat. The French despised The German Empire with every fiber of their being and it showed even after World War 1 with how both them and England treated Germany during the treaty and even after with how Germans were treated during the Rhine Occupation. I'm writing a Novel about this. In 1925 Wilhelm II comes back and the National Socialists become more Monarchist over time. Germany pulls a man in the High Castle over 60 ish years till the modern day where the Germans unified all European peoples with each former nation becoming a Kingdom with their own Monarchs loyal to the Kaiser, some of them being from the House of Hohenzollern like Ukraine and the Baltics. Every Provence with European majority population is able to vote in elections with over twenty parties, but three main ones dominate, the reformed NSDAP, The Nationalist-Monarchist Union and the Volks Democratic Party. The Chancellor is no longer picked by the Kaiser after some reforms in 1963 and instead elected through an electoral college and each seat in the Reichstag is similar to how they are elected to the modern German Bundestag. Half the seats come from party appointed representatives based on percent of vote and other half are local district candidates. They are highly nationalistic and united people with the Kaiser viewed very positively with a Military the size of Modern France population and in a cold war about to be made hot with an East Asian Communist nation which is like Stalin Soviet Union 2.0

The German Empire was destroyed by terrified and power hungry nations like France and England and didn’t help that Woodrow Wilson was also there (I’m going to stop myself there as if say anything else this will turn into a tirade about that fucking racist warmongering Woodrow “shit stained” Wilson )
Fuck Wilson

What if Friedrich (Wilhelm's father) had lived?
What if the British empire never fell?
I think he did something like that where the Imperial Federation forms
Well that is a what if, but it was bound to happen.
Probably not a lot would have changed. Science wouldnt have made its advances and britain would have supported germany in ww1 thats for sure. But besides that everything would have stayed as it already was.
@Anglo Commando it was called Imperial Federation at the time
Imperial Federation was probably the best thing that could ever happen. It was a serious movement until the world wars ground the empire to dust
I ment more like if the empire remined like it was. Not as an imperial fedration, but rather a world were the empire never fell. I know that it was boud to happen, but that is the thing with us theorising, we do not need to have a good reason to it being like that.
8:38 why does Germany have Alsace-Lorraine? Surely the French would still have it.
Shhhhhhhhhhh
Nein. Das Elsass ist deutsch.
Alsace and Loraine was seized by the I'st German empire in 1871 as a free state, which meant the kaiser, and the kaiser ALONE controlled the area. Eventually in 1879 though, it was annexed because of many ethnic Germans living in their voted to join Germany.

They are highly nationalistic and united people with the Kaiser viewed very positively with a Military the size of Modern France population and in a cold war about to be made hot with an East Asian Communist nation which is like Stalin Soviet Union 2.0
nice!
You miss that the Nazis were far-left, and they would never support monarchs.

"Crown Prince Willliam III"
"And here is Elizabeth II's oldest child Charles III, Prince of Wales"
There was another Hohenzollern who could have been restored as Kaiser, one Oskar Morgenstern, the Economist and Grand Nephew to Wilhelm II.
If the kaiser was restored and either stayed in power after WW2 or never caused it. it could have put imperialism as the third major ideology in the Cold War which was the main idea of the British when they made plans for the possible Franco British Union which of course never happened
Imperialism could be a “3rd ideology” but it would definitely mostly work with the democratic world

Hi my name is Nicole keiser, and my father is Mathew keiser he says that in our family tree there where alot of royal people. He also said that the reason why our last name is keiser and not Kaiser is because our ancestors had too change their last name too hide from a mean king trying too kill anyone with the same last name as him which is Kaiser. I just wanted too say this because I'm bored and there is a video on RUclips about someone with the last name Kaiser.^^

You always ignore war crimes committed by Allies.
but they were very few and little
@@spitfire8790 Not really there are alot of instances of allied troops doing atrocities, aswell though it does depend on what war you are referring to.
@@sirsteam6455 what...? there's few, if you're talking about gas then sure it's a warcrime by modern standard but before then the geneva convention never talked anything about gas. Atrocities were very few by the allies.
@@spitfire8790 If we're talking about Ww1 then the same goes for Germany for the most part Germany did very little in terms of war crimes like anyone else, but gas isn't the only allied and Central war crime the British had the Baralong incidents while Germany had the whole thing with Belgium but besides that no really bad war crimes most of which are in ww2 so your point is mute as it applies to everyone making it redundant. Furthermore not only is everything in relation to war before 1949 looking in with hindsight seeing how the Geneva conventions didn't exist till after ww2 to begin with but also that rules and treaties on the laws of War have been written separately on multiple occasions in regard to the use of chemical and other inhumane weaponry so even if the Geneva convention says nothing it doesn't mean it isn't a war crime or against the laws set down by the combating nations.
@@sirsteam6455 the thing is...baralong is a single submarine...while belgium is a whole COUNTRY. germany in ww1 commited some war crimes but not comparable to ww2 but still it's quite alot compared to the allied.

What if Germany was a Constitutional Monarchy? (like Britain)
Ew
the fascinating thing is that from the German perspective it was a constitutinal monarchy, since in German political studies you usually distinguish between absolute, constitutional and parlamentarian monarchies.
absolute monarchy: king can do whatever he wants e.g. saudi arabia
constitutional monarchy: power of the monarch is existent, but limited: e.g. imperial germany
parlamentarian monarchy: monarch has no effective power: e.g. UK
So we could have avoid WW 1 if the Kaiser have seen a shrink and got some meds for depression and aggression.
Oint Flyment The war was started by Austria, tho...
