One of the best places we've ever been this one and a really special location. On an old RAF Air Base stand these 3 abandoned RAF airplanes, one of em with a sick paint job. We spoke briefly to the owner who told us that over the years these things have been vandalised and parts stolen from them, which is a shame, but on the bright side, if they hadn't been like that, we would have never seen them.

Exploring the dilapidated ruins of civilisation, abandoned buildings, creepy theme parks, military bases, and underground vaults containing the remnants of a by gone era. And with a bit of comedy and humour chucked in there too, can't be too serious about these things.
We're not serious urban explorers, we just love the adeventure.
Urban Exploration is not for kiddies. Abandoned places are dangerous. Adventures are fun.

The third plane is a Hunting-Percival Pembroke, from about 1953. Used as a light transport/general duty aircraft. It's quite rare. That one looks like a navigational trainer. The seats have no cushions because you sat on your parachute.
Cheers for the info!
hunting percival sea prince to be exact tho they are very similar
... 0:15 ... the plane must have been reverse parked ...
The large 4 engined A/C (at 8.00 mins) are old Avro Shackletons. These were 1950's successors to wartime Avro Lancasters, Britain's most prolific 4 engined bomber of WW2. These Shackletons being peacetime A/C, were largely used for Air/Sea Rescue and Maritime Reconnaissance roles.
The large aircraft you looked at first is a 1956 avro Shackleton use by the royal air force for reconnaissance and anti submarine missions. They were also used for search and rescue in the navy.
Love it when you discover new content creators and you can binge watch it all!!!! Love it guys + Al
10:36 i can hear someone's cellphone signal in the audio one of you has the phone to close to the mic
while I was on holiday in Norfolk I found a barn which was full of RAF jet provost trainers.the wings had been taken off but were stacked up.there was also lots of crates full of aircraft parts. All I can remember is it was somewhere around the Norfolk broads.hope you find it.
Fyi. Large aircraft. Avro Shackleton MR3phase 3. Had four 36ltr Rolls Royce Griffin engines ( now removed) and two Viper turbojets.was used for maritime patrol and anti submarine work. Smsll aircraft. Gloster Meteor T7 was an advanced trainer. (I have worked on both these types) Lastly the one with the godawful paint job. Percival Pembroke. Was a navigation trainer. The tailplanes in the shed ( that you called wings) are from the Meteor.
The jet near the 'Shack' is a Gloster Meteor T7 trainer, used by the Fleet Air Arm [Royal Navy], as a shore based trainer from about 1950 onwards.
What would you do if the plane took off 🤣
Some of the search and rescue Shackletons were actually modified to carry a lifeboat, which fitted in the bomb bay, and was dropped to survivors from a wrecked ship, etc. It was the sort of lifeboat you'd find on a large passenger ship. Dropping it from a low height, over rough seas, must have taken real guts.
Im so glad none of you have a pilots license :-D
Nose plane wheelie lol
Pop over from IKS the bomber is called a Avro 716 Shackleton

Holy shit that's awesome! Thanks for the info
+Hell on Earth They were used for coastal protection well into the '80s, although they were old planes being , basically, a WW2 design, nothing more modern was found that could do the job as well so these old ladies kept on flying long sorties (12+ hour) at low speed until they became uneconomical to operate any more due to parts drying up...
I visited this place by accident while at a Bike Rally this weekend. That stella can and Bulmers bottle are still in the sink!
Brilliant guys, I'd love to explore some abandoned planes, but there aren't a lot around where I live
We do have some abandoned caravans in my city though
😂👌🏻
why did you whisper when you entered the plane ,was the pilot asleep ?
vids with abandoned planes are always neat for me and kind of depressing as I'm an aircraft mechanic and was one in the Air Force as well. I've worked on larger planes then those, but they are great to see and even better when they are in one piece. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS YOU LITTER BUG LEAVING YOUR BOTTLE ON THE TREE BRANCH, LOL
It's an Avro Shackleton, probably an MR3, a maritime patrol aircraft and the forerunner of the Nimrod. I didn't see a dome on the nose, so it's probably not an AEW bird. Someone mentioned a Lancaster and you are not too far wrong: The Shackleton is a development of the Avro Lincoln, which itself was a direct descendant of the Lancaster (in fact the Lincoln was originally known as the Lancaster Mk IV).
The other aircraft next to it is a Gloster Meteor, probably a T.7 trainer (the nose is missing so I can't be sure but I don't think it is one of the Night Fighter - NF - variants). The Meteor actually saw active service during WWII.
The last aircraft looks like a Percival Pembroke, probably a C.1 communications trainer by the interior layout.
If you film more ex-RAF or ex-RN aircraft, try to show the aircraft serial number (WX123, ZA999, etc) normally on the rear fuselage; that way I can pinpoint exactly what aircraft it is.
Cheers!
The only thing better than the planes was the editing at the beginning! Insane video guys, I'd love to head up here some day, looks mad! Keep it up lads :)
King Of Bongo- Urban Exploring the drone shots are sick, wish I had one but they cost an arm and a leg
Cheers bongo you sack of human shit!
The large aircraft is an Avro Shackleton, used for sub-hunting
Yes, indeed. I Just found a vid of the same plane few years back. Sad to see it fall apart!

Interesting factoid -- the seats are missing because they were the coveted Shackletons Highseat Chairs, you know..
ruclips.net/video/9nCfopLQt-Q/видео.html
if this is the place im thinking of, with the drag strip near by, ive been there, i heard it was suppose to be a museum but it never worked out..
The big aircraft is an Avro Shackleton. It was designed after WW2 as an anti submarine plane. It originally had twin 20mm cannon in the nose, a mid-upper turret, and a gun in the tail cone. It was later used for search and rescue and Aircraft Early Warning [AEW] duties throughout the cold war, hence the retractable radomes and gear underneath. There were still a couple flying operationally in the 1990's, working alongside the more modern Nimrod jets. The Shackleton had a phenomenal range, and was powered by four turboprop engines, each with two sets of contra-rotating propellors.
They used them all the way up until the 90s, wow
Powerplant was 4 Griffon engines a relative of the mighty Merlin. They also powered later variants of the Spitfire..
Congrats on 11K guys! You're my favourite explorers on RUclips!
Gr8 explore of the planes guys, awesome to see inside of them like they were, shame it's all graffitied and people stealing "seats" lol
Thats not a french flag, its the Fin flash.
Just for clarification lol
Thanks man, what were they used for?
Hell on Earth it just part of aircraft markings the red white and blue are the colours of the RAF the French flag is blue white and red
Josh Dupigny
What a bunch of nerds!!!
A Shackleton, based on the Lancaster bomber. The 'gun mount' is a sextant mounting in the navigators dome.
You left your bottle in the tree! 6:10 no bottle, 6:50 bottle in tree. Observation & respect your surroundings & just saying!
Good idea of having two people with you
My neck of the woods! Y'all should have said hello!
Sick video guys! Plane looks crazy :)
Didn't fancy checking out the drag strip then 😎
Shakespeare county raceway, as it is know as. it has a drag strip, but it is being destroyed this year and turned into houses. I don't know how he is going to move his planes. I don't think they will move without falling apart. keep up the good work!

You DO NOT want to meet the security here, They are not fun to be around...
apparently you blokes didn't notice that the plane was equipped with an ejection toilet and that the tissue on the roller had 1000 sheets to allow the pilot to verify that the smell had be evacuated.
It would be wicked to convert the big planes into houses
that's a bangin intro :)
Cheers mallow dude
Those might be war bullet holes planes usually had faces or slogans painted on them.
this in long marston i dont live very far from there or it could been wellesbourne but its well 😎
Great editing and shooting guys! Would be awesome if you could do some research and present facts and basic knowledge on the aircraft!
The first plane is a Lancaster I think? Bouncing bomb and that, but love this!
Ohsocorny 101 shackelton
thats a shame to see, some of those planes were likely in ww2 and now they rot
Was the plane in the thumbnail one of the flying tigers?

@ Obviousman :
it's a MR3 Shack ,see a Meteor too , the third is probably a Pembroke ... not sure
these planes have now been bought by a aviation trust and being restored but to flying standards just for a museum
That's good to know!😉✌
Get some information. It's an avro Shackleton. Do some research. Lazy
You should visit Bhanghar Fort one of the most haunted place in Asia.. People are not allowed within the premises after sunset those who were left behind either killed themself or went insane . they were found crawling on all four limbs in the morning...you can even feel the negative energy during the day and the weather over there is also the worst once you enter the area there are thunder storms and the sky is dark even at 3 PM... And it is rated as the most haunted place in Asia by the Archaeological Survey of India the same company which has put a sign board in front of the gates to not to enter after 5 Pm
