Congrats Owen! Happy to see you being looking after 🙌 hopefully see you out there for a session this season brother
Thanks brother! 🙏
Sick vid bro killing it
Great video Owen! It's cool to see you testing out some of the new Shimano gear. The Dialuna certainly looks tempting haha. Congratulations on the video partnership. I think this is one of your most well put together videos yet and it was cool to see you fishing so many different spots. Keep up the good work man!
Cheers! Just testing the waters with Shimano gear - thrilled you enjoyed the video variety! your words meant a lot 🙌🙏
luv it
I recently picked up the previous season Dialuna from IFL and paired it with a BG MQ and braid. Was previously on a cheap mono combo. Cast distance just quadrupled and the sensitivity is unreal.
Great review video bro! Nice King on the medium light rod too 🔥🤙🏽
Thanks bro 🙏
awesome vid bro... congrats
Appreciate it!
Mantap Bro!
Well done my bro! Congrats on the shimano partnership you deserve it brother the hours you put in finally paid off 🤙🏼🎣 hopefully see you around this summer brother
Appreciate the love, buddy! The Shimano vibes are strong, but it's more like a 'Shimano audition' at the moment. Fingers crossed for the future 🎣😅
@@indosydneyfishing you’ll smash it brother!!
Awesome video Owen 👌👌
Cheers Hugo, still couldn't beat your last King video on that light gear! 😁🙏
I have three 2018 models ML/M/MH all 9'6" I fish Stripe bass and Halibut in San Francisco Bay from shore. I can cover from 1/4 too 2 OZ. jigs, minnow, poppers, and soft swimbaits. Great rods for run and gun on the beaches.
which model do you prefer for stripers? Im from the bay as well and plan on getting a 80ml but Im not sure if it would handle 1oz.
Congrats on the RUclips paying off. Hopefully more free stuff :). Could feel your pain on that trev
Thanks brother 🙏! I probably should switch to double assist hook next time 😫
That is one thick tailor!
indeed bro, for that area it's bigger than usual. fyi it was around 50ish
Congrats Bro. I like seeing that hard work pay off. Mantap 👏👏👏
Thanks bro 🙏
I did some research on Dialuna series last year and bought myself the 710mh in the previous generation. It has been a good rat king rod for me, especially when I want a switch from the shore jigging setup. It's a shame Shimano doesn't sell the current mh model anymore in Australia.
Ah, the 710mh from the previous series is a solid performer for those change-ups! Fingers crossed for its return! 🙏🙌
I've got the Dialuna 8 foot with the 23 Stradic 3000. Running the Ocea PE 1.5. With a 40g colt sniper I'm casting out 60-70 meters. I'm fishing Wellington harbor NZ and had a 10+kg kingi turn off my stick bait (slow sink nomad) at my feet just before Xmas. Definitely my goal for this summer.
That is awesome! Perfect light combo. Hopefully you’ll hook up that king soon🤞🤙
Great job mate! I use plenty of Daiwa fishing gear, didn't try many Shimano gears, maybe next time.
Thanks a lot, Larry! Shimano gears have their own perks. Excited for you to try them and hear about your experience!
Looks like some nice gear! Should be sweet for land based pelagic’s! I’m happy with the zodias and t curves though!
Thanks for sharing! Zodias and T Curves are solid rods too. Each has its strengths, but I've been enjoying the performance of the Dialuna for land-based pelagic fishing. It's always great to have options that work well for different fishing styles!
Nice review! How do you like the 8’ for casting ? Looking for shore jig and jerkbaits rod and was wondering which length should i go with.
8’ cast great too and should be perfect for jerkbaits. For landbased I recommend get at least 9’. Soft plastic 8’.
Thank you . Is there a reason for choosing 8’ rod for jerkbaits and soft baits over rods 9’+?
@@redseaaquariums7564 The 9’ and above is perfectly fine for jerkbaits, i used a few jerkbaits lure 15-30g they played nicely. but not so good on the soft plastic.
Thank you
Also do you have the link to the isf 30g jig. Also what hook do you recommend with it?
Hey bro, send me pm on my insta/facebook.
I dony have Instagram or Facebook
medium or medium heavy for these rods? 10ft or 96 I'm thinking of those 2 for 1oz weight lures
This rod light medium bro. You can use up to 45g lures. But I recommend 40g max
You should do a live video on catching kingies. I would love to watch it
Thanks for the suggestion, one day i’m sure will brother!
How long is this rod? Is it two pieces?
Hey mate, from 8 foot to 10 foot. Yes 2 pieces. Check out the link in the description 🤙
That Shimano drag sound is a bit sticky.
Do you prefer Dialuna or shoregun ? For jigging
Dialuna excels in lightness, offering precision, while Palms standout for robust strength. Dialuna for finesse, Palms for power. Depend where you fish honestly
What size reel do you recommend for light shore jigging?
Size 3000 with pe 1 (20lb)
Size 4000 with pe 1.5 (30lb)
For rockfishing I prefer size 4K just in case you get rat king hookup🤙
@@indosydneyfishing thanks! indo and what rod would be good for light shore jigging for king fish and bonito?🤔
@@laithnaser3934 no prob bro. Depend on your budget 😂
@@indosydneyfishing 600 to 700$ for rod and reel.
@@laithnaser3934 shimano Dialuna and stradic fm bro. Or palms shoregun with caldia/vanford/stradic 5K
Ok you convinced me, I’d ask that rod to Santa’s 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha! I'll make sure Santa gets the memo about this 'must-have fishing rod' in high demand! 📝🎣🎅
@@indosydneyfishing I checked the price 🤣 Santa’s won’t reply to my letter 🤣
Haha, I feel you! The Dialuna's specs are tempting! Maybe Santa will surprise you. It's definitely worth it!
Converting to Shimano from Daiwa?
Thanks for the comment! I'm not converting from Daiwa to Shimano gears, but I was lucky enough to be tasked by Shimano to test their new rods. Exciting opportunity!
Great video bro been looking at getting a new lightweight shore jigging rod must check them out 👍👍
Thanks bro! You’ll be surprised how light it is bro 🤙🙏
Dialuna looks like a seabass rod more than jigging rod...minnow lures might be more suitable for Dialuna...just my own experiences though🤙🤙🤙
Thanks Zengbo, I've tried couple minnow lures the Flashboost, still haven't found the luck yet, will give them another shot 🙏
First
Thanks for your support brother as always 🙏🤙
