Another tip I'd like to throw in. If you plan on playing mmos, invest in a mouse that has extra buttons. Like 16 extra buttons for macros is not overkill and only makes life easier
I'm planning to buy a mouse that has multiple buttons as my hands don't have muscle memory to use other buttons than WASD so it would be good for switching weapons etc
Another tip about performance is even if you have a beefy computer, some competitive titles have settings that give you an advantage over using ultra settings, so sometimes even if you can run at ultra, you shouldn’t, unless you really don’t care all that much about being 100% efficient
There are also games that were advertised for ultra high-end setups but ended up being so badly optimized that you couldn't even run the highest settings at NASA.
Turn off vsync for more fps, this is some weak advice for any people wondering: Vsync matches your monitors refresh rate, if you turn this off and your monitor doesn’t have variable refresh rate (freesync for an amd gpu and gsync for a Nvidia gpu), this makes your screen tear, this means your monitor can’t keep up with your “pc power” so multiple frames get layered above each other and it doesn’t look great

One of my biggest issues when I started was gripping my mouse like I wanted to destroy it when entering an engagement. A bad controller habit I carried over is reacting physically to what happens in a game, on console you can get away with that because fixed controls. Get used to using your wrist, fingers and arm to manipulate the mouse and get used to the different benefits to each and keep it in mind not to tense, do that a lot and eventually not tensing becomes muscle memory. We're just aiming to correct bad muscle memory there's no special formula or skill gap, just patience and persistence. Fingers are good for small adjustments, wrist for me is general use and smaller flicks and arm is for things like full on flicking depending on the game and sensitivity I use for the game. Just run around an empty map and engage everything. Pick targets like a specific brick on a wall and keep shooting things while making sure you're loose and calm. Do silly things like 360's and flick here and there as well to better familiarize yourself with your sensitivity. This is more for targeting and accuracy but it's a good tip, don't look at your reticle or cursor. Look at your target, then line your sights with where your eyes are on your target. Literally just keeping your eye on the ball so to speak. Practice practice practice. I still tense up a little bit every now and then and I have to just remind myself to relax. I’ve been playing games on PC for about 5 years now and I’ve got a lil bit of advice: 1. if you’re gonna be playing multiplayer games even if you’re playing on an absolute fkn beast of a PC turn your graphics settings down to low as this will give you a higher frame rate which will give you a competitive edge for multiplayer games which is more important than playing at the highest graphical settings. 2. Just something to consider, playing single player games at ultra/very high looks marginally better than just playing at high and playing at high could mean that you’d still get a game that looks good and you also might get a slight bump in FPS.
Don’t go insane on rgb. It’s a light gimmick which does nothing for performance; only appearance. Cut out RGB, you cut a heavy portion of your pc cost.
I just switched to keyboard and mouse and I was literally just thinking that if I actually did my work in computer class in school and learned to type that I'd be much faster at learning to play better using KB&M. Thanks So Much For The Info.
Enter the Gungeon was a lot easier with a controller than a mouse and keyboard. Moving with a keyboard is less precise and attacking with the mouse makes you look more at the enemy instead of your character.
One tip for key sites: G2A (Very "trusted" website for reselling keys) Had a lawsuit and bunch of legal stuff because over 90 percent of the keys were STOLEN from devs or bought with a FALSE/STOLEN credit/debit card.
@Bread Blue Basically if you have any sort of morals you don't buy from them. Also little side note if someone reports their keys being stolen to lets say steam then you're going to receive the backlash for it and not the one who stole it.
Thanks for making this video! I’m been out of serious PC gaming for awhile (and I’m old) but I’m getting a content creation computer that will have enough power to play newer games. Keep up the good work!
Also, not disabling automatic updates for Windows etc. It took me a couple of weeks before i realized what was causing my games to randomly lag. Also, there are certain apps that are just not suitable for gaming PCs because, even if you turn auto updates off and plead with them to leave you the hell alone, they carry on pestering you to upgrade to the gold edition. Winzip, i am looking in your direction.
2:50 I agree, I changed my keybinds a bit when I used to play Fortnite then I watched fe4rless video on keybinds and his edit key was something I copied and I got so much better at editing, it’s sad nobody listened to me cause it makes edits 1000x easier
I sometimes get confused by all the buttons on the keyboard. Also I don’t know how to enable autoaim for my mouse, it’s a lot of work to have to be accurate in games that require you to aim. I thought the whole point of shooter games was to move very fast, average 18 kills per second and have fun :(

I stopped watching as soon as you recommended key sites. Yeah, that’s a “great” tip for new PC gamers, particularly when they buy a game, only for it to be revoked, and confusing the hell out of them. Also, I think it’s a stretch to say that key sites and generally considered the best option.
Huh? Learning how to type faster is useful in general, especially if you're gonna be sitting in front of a keyboard most of your time. I think it's probably one of the more overlooked tips considering that most console players might not be familiar with their keyboard at first and would never even consider practicing typing as a way to adjust.
My respect for him went down to p when he said buy games from key sites like g2a. Sites like G2A are very shady and the seller can be selling you stolen keys or buying keys from stolen credit cards. And it also doesn't benefit the game's developer much at all. They work hard for the game, you should buy from them directly.

Yay time to find out if I AM a mistake
Huh... Guess I’m a natural then! When I first shifted from console to pc, changing the key binds was one of the first things I would do!
Ur keybinds are ?
@@notyouraverage1saiah660 Well they depend on the game. For some games, I just have the left click on the mouse be to move forward. That way I can move toward any direction I’m looking towards. For others, I have the central button on the mouse be the jump button. Sometimes I’ll put certain functions in a particular area of the keyboard so I don’t have to stretch my hands either. Sorry, I’m not too knowledgeable in PC lingo or keyboard lingo
Im getting my pc today and Im watching this before getting it (btw i subbed since 50k)
After watching this I finally decided to buy some WASD rubber grip key caps 👍 Need to move away from controller 🎮
I learned keyboard and mouse by playing cod mw playing a private game with myself and bots. Then eventually put the bots in veteran. I also played the trials that helped a lot lol
R u good now on pc
@@notyouraverage1saiah660 yeah I have a ps5 as well but I haven’t played my ps5 in months I only play pc now with mouse and keyboard. Only time I use a controller is for racing games.
@@EddieTaco coo I’m also switching from Xbox to pc
I just ordered a $2,000 pc, but don’t even know how to type without using my pointer fingers and looking at the keyboard. Wish me luck lmao
Prodijay with that upload!
I’ve been playing games on PC for about 5 years now and I’ve got a lil bit of advice:
1. if you’re gonna be playing multiplayer games even if you’re playing on an absolute fkn beast of a PC turn your graphics settings down to low as this will give you a higher frame rate which will give you a competitive edge for multiplayer games which is more important than playing at the highest graphical settings.
2. Just something to consider, playing single player games at ultra/very high looks marginally better than just playing at high and playing at high could mean that you’d still get a game that looks good and you also might get a slight bump in FPS.
I got a new monitor that was 240hz and had no idea you had to change the graphics lmao no wonder it looked like crap
Don’t go insane on rgb.
It’s a light gimmick which does nothing for performance; only appearance.
Cut out RGB, you cut a heavy portion of your pc cost.
Mistake number 1:Downloading fortnite
😂😂😂😂😂😂
THAT'S MY GOAL
Thats a fact 😂
Lol true
Luckily I didn’t make this mistake!
I just switched to keyboard and mouse and I was literally just thinking that if I actually did my work in computer class in school and learned to type that I'd be much faster at learning to play better using KB&M. And i was thinking about practicing typing but then I was thinking that's probably just foolish and all in my head but now that I heard you say it too, I'm definitely going to practice typing everyday.
Thanks So Much For The Info.
What game is the gameplay in the video? And great video btw!
Spellbreak
I just switched from console after 18 years and it’s so hard not to pick up the controller but I gotta learn lol
1:20 lmao
jake paul loves blood lmfao
Enter the Gungeon was a lot easier with a controller than a mouse and keyboard.
Moving with a keyboard is less precise and attacking with the mouse makes you look more at the enemy instead of your character.
One tip for key sites: G2A (Very "trusted" website for reselling keys) Had a lawsuit and bunch of legal stuff because over 90 percent of the keys were STOLEN from devs or bought with a FALSE/STOLEN credit/debit card.
@Bread Blue They got a cease and desist letter before lmao, I prefer to keep clear of those sites.
@Bread Blue Basically if you have any sort of morals you don't buy from them. Also little side note if someone reports their keys being stolen to lets say steam then you're going to receive the backlash for it and not the one who stole it.
@Bread Blue Gotcha, it's ok for you to be a dick if you feel like Corporations are being greedy. You totally seem like a good guy.
Alright Man! You've convinced me to subscribe because of the display setting change. I totally didn't know that

Windows Updates only occur the 2nd week wednesday every month, that's not random.
Also, there's 7zip instead of Winzip
One of the best videos I have watched-basic but loads of information for beginners. Amazing thank you
2:50 I agree, I changed my keybinds a bit when I used to play Fortnite then I watched fe4rless video on keybinds and his edit key was something I copied and I got so much better at editing, it’s sad nobody listened to me cause it makes edits 1000x easier
I’ll listen I’m about to switch from PlayStation to PC so I’ll take any advice I can get
Hah, I'm a laptop gamer and the only thing that sucks is the fact that I get trigger finger a lot xD and that causes my hand to cramp.....
I sometimes get confused by all the buttons on the keyboard. Also I don’t know how to enable autoaim for my mouse, it’s a lot of work to have to be accurate in games that require you to aim. I thought the whole point of shooter games was to move very fast, average 18 kills per second and have fun :(

@@EsmeryHernandez-y9c your right!! Im very bad using a keyboard and mouse because ive never done it to much as i come from consoles. I choose to not get good not enough time or patience to deal with it. Ill just use a controller
Literally as soon as I saw jake Paul when u said trash rushed straight to the comments
Subscribed it was the delivery of your content for me, nice camera prescience
One of the biggest issues is not knowing about graphics card and specs for your first pc/laptop
Lol. I've worked data entry for 20 years. I can type at like 120WPM.
Nice video think I’ll find it helpful when I make the switch to PC
I grew up playing on a keyboard and mouse on a Mac though☠️ I got an Xbox but im not as good, looking to get a gaming pc now😂
My respect for him went down to p when he said buy games from key sites like g2a. Sites like G2A are very shady and the seller can be selling you stolen keys or buying keys from stolen credit cards. And it also doesn't benefit the game's developer much at all. They work hard for the game, you should buy from them directly.
Thank you so much dude my pc moniter ran 30 Hertz before.
