I cannot understand why he is touching every disc on the listening surface. There will be an amprent and maybe some dust/scratch... and this could be avoided, by handling with care. He could at least have some gloves (AND handle with care). Hope there is no dust in that room, entering in the machine while pressing the vinyls... Otherwise, nice workflow!
Old, but reliable pressing plants from the 80s press all records automatically. The vinyl biscuits come out of the extruder, fall between the stampers and is cut at the edges in one step. There is no hand touching, no dust which can ruin the result. Why is this Newbilt machine such a manually one? I fear warped records when they take them in a brand new and still warm condition out of the pressing plant to cut the edges in this cutter machine.
I've been a pressing tech for 20 years, edge trimming is always done while the records are still warm otherwise you will get sharp/chipped edges. Semi auto machines have their advantages and disadvantages, the biggest advantage being that each record is inspected manually and it's also possible to make some special effects that can't be done with an auto machine.
@@nedjonedeljko oh sorry we are the machine manufacturer, but as i know from our customers only a few vinyls is not possible as you need to prepare pretty costly the negative (stamper) first. so need at least couple of hundreds to ordrer.
What would be the price of 1 press + the machine that makes the "vinyl pellet" + the machine that cuts the vinyl?
Also what is the cost of a machine that can recycle materials to use in pressing new records ?

How works the mold heating and cooling, is it induction heating?
