As you can see by this video, I was absolutley enjoyingit! Hearing Geoff Castellucci's voice continue to grow and strengthen is so great to see and hear. Unshaken from Red Dead Redemption 2 just sat in a really good place for him and where he took it, really showed off his voice beautifully.

I totally agree that Geoff’s voice has opened up more. His upper chest and mixed belts are so solid all the time now, I think because he’s using it more often in both his own music and VP’s. Not that they weren’t before now, but the power, sustainability, and tone are stellar currently!

Anyone who has listened to Geoff before aren't surprised by the notes he hits here... They are familiar.
The new part is the agility he has (something not USUALLY used in reference to a bass singer) in putting together the runs, bounces, and sudden shifts from note to note.
It seems insane that anyone can, in 1 breath, bounce from deep chest, up to 1st passage, back down and then drop into subharmonic sounding bass. His practice sessions and warmups must be both terrifying and wonderful to hear.
He seems to have decided to show most of his tricks all in one video, which is both impressive and terrifying.
I love the fact that he said these are the Ghost Riders before they died, and he let them do this song without his supervision. I absolutely love this cover. I had to look up the original by D'Angelo, but this is far superior IMO. Those low notes rumble in my chest. Also, Daryl is the one in the Duster, and they are in front of Daryl's Cafe...lol. Great Reaction Jen!!
No Geoff supervision may be HOW they became the Ghost Riders.
This is one of those that you can just tell will become a Geoff classic. He never misses, but this one hit even better than usual, I’m so glad you got to chance to break this one down so we can appreciate it even more!
Well I don't think I have ever seen you so speechless with a Geoff song before. It was like the brain just couldn't work out quick enough what was going on and I was waiting for a resigned "Whatever!" and just sitting in silence lol

"Did I... (insert stupidly low note here)... hear you break?"... Yes, Geoff. Not just me either. Just about every reaction I have seen so far to this.
I am convinced somebody said "he has low notes, but he does not sustain them" where he could hear them... an this is his answer to that.
My favorite "bit" in this one was the "Here we go." If he had used his formula bag of tricks it would have been "C"mon."
Here we go shook me more than almost anything else.
I've really been missing the "C'mon's" of late as well. I mean, he managed to work it into White Christmas even.....
These are, of course, the Ghost Riders, just before they became ghosts. :) This time unaccomoanied by Geoff himself. They've done a spoof advert for Daryl's coffee bar, shared by Huldra Draco. Geoff used to sing more nasally than he does now. I don't hear it much at al now. Oh and what abiout that hand synchronisation LOL

@KaaSerpent It's in Huldra's Shorts section, so it may not be showing up in her Videos. Look for a thumbnail with a clone holding a cup of coffee.

I feel like I just attended a double Masterclass. One on 3 octave chest voice, and one on reaction and analysis. This wasn't one of my favorite Geoff pieces as I was unfamiliar with the song until I saw how you reacted and broke it down. You're the best at this, Jen!

Great reaction and analysis, Jen! Love seeing you get blown away by this one, one of his best IMO! He found this unused set at Pattycake, it was perfect for this song, Eli did a stellar job with the lighting (as usual!) - not only me, but I think my neighbours were left shaken the first time I heard this! ☺

@@JenniferGlatzhofer I'm a bit surprised just how much difference those blue contacts in "Ghost Riders" made. It took me, I think, about 4 watches before I could realize why they look less familiar than I expected.
The overall sound and motive is very much from Sergio Leone's Western movies. As this is from a game in the old wild west, it's very fitting.
Geoff has always been my favourite bass not because he goes lower but because with his precise diction, I can actually understand what he's singing. Not all bass singers can do that.
Love your insights here, Jen. Geoff really did outdo himself in this one.

I'm not sure i've seen you so gobsmacked before. It was fun to see you trying to put those thoughts into a coherent sequence. Usually, you know exactly where you're going. This time, well, not so much. But your love for the music, the arrangement, the voice, still shine despite Geoff kinda smacking you in the head with the completely unexpected ❤

Hey Jen, I thoroughly enjoyed both the Jeff and Jen in this reaction video. The low notes were superb by you and Jeff. I sang along with the song. Being a low bass myself I found the go to low notes he did was done very well and is very comfortable. I never was able to do the high notes but I didn't need them that much in Opera. Keep up what you are doing and God Bless .😁😇😁

What a wonderful and insightful reaction! As an instrumentalist, I love learning more about singing from you. You're so right, we never get to a point where we stop learning and honing in our craft. My mentor is 73, and as he says, "I've been playing for 60 years. I think I'm starting to get the hang of it." I love that mentality. Cheers!
Just Goff, Daryl, Jeoph, and Jeff in this one. Geoff trusted Daryl to keep the boys in line as he was letting them do this on their own and unsupervised.
Geoff's voice and the agility he has has grow exponentially in the last few years it's absolutely amazing and wonderful!!!! Note on the video these are the Ghost Rider's before they passed on to the cattle ranch on the sky!

I can appreciate and enjoy the music of male voices but there is just something attractive in the female voice. Perhaps this is just the man in me? If so, then the deep male voice attracting women makes sense.

Where is your cowboy hat!? 🤠 Yeah at 13:56 "We can always be learning and growing and improving our voice ..." as you have demonstrated with your expanded lower range that you now treat us to in your singing! And as Jen would say "we are here for it!" 😊 Still, Geoff is hitting you with an awful lot of low notes in this one. At 14:55 I think what you're trying to say is that nasal quality is just another tool in the singer's tool chest to use in singing to achieve an effect. Of course it isn't negative. Any additional tools in a singer's "vocal toolbox" just adds to the complexity of the vocal picture they can paint! Off soapbox. 😁Yes that was a great video. Loved the set! There is just something about low notes that appeals to us all.
I saw another reactor say Geoff's low notes are therapeutic and it reminded me of cats purring. The frequency of a cat purr has actually been found to help speed up healing (that's why they lay on you and purr when you don't feel well or are injured). I believe that Geoff's low notes have a very similar effect. They heal you down to the soul.

Red Dead Redeption 2 is a popular Western-themed game. The story follows Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang after a robbery gone bad. Left to right we have: Goff, Daryl, Jeoph, and Jeff - the Ghost Riders before they died and cursed to eternally ride. One of the plug ins for this cover was labeled "Tubular Bells." Most of the costumes from Ghost Riders were in storage and Rick Underwood still had most of the hair pieces saved. This is the first time this particular background set at PattyCake Productions was used.
Honestly, I think Geoff put the same passion into this cover that Rockstar put into the game.

If you like deep voices etc you should really check out Hoist the Colours By Bobby Bass where he colabs with different people from tiktoc. It's some of the deepest voices i've ever heard is on that song. Can't link it cause youtube will just delete the comment
