This horn line would destroy any other horn line in drum corps tone quality wise (never going to beat Crown technique, it's just the truth) if they were actually on good horns. It pisses me off that some of the best tonal players in all of drum corps are put on these garbage system blues. The only reason they sound good is because you've got Blue Devils playing them. They have awful intonation and fall apart after 4 months of use
Lol i dont really think your talking about. Its very hard to measure "tone quality" in marching band. Once you play loud everyone pretty much sounds the same. Your overanalazying it to the point to try to make marching band seem like a worthy activity. The truth is it dosen't take good musicians to make a good marching band. This is not orchestral brass playing. The two are not realated.
If you have any sort of actual meaningful diffrientiation between sound. I would love to hear it, and if you would provide specific examples. But otherwise your're just overanalyzing it. And I repeat once again its very hard to point out "musicianship" in an activity like this
Owen Wu dude I don't know how you Can't hear the differences in tone quality and centering in say crown vs BD vs cadets vs Phantom etc. They are all markedly different. Increase your aural knowledge my guy.
This is the best audio quality I’ve ever heard in a DCI in the lot video. Lit af😎
